Yilyilhyang Sinyongsan 7th Branch — Restaurant in Seoul

Slightly upscale Korean-Chinese chain restaurant with good entrée selections.

This restaurant is famous for Eohyang-dongo which is essentially a fried shiitake mushroom stuffed with minced shrimp meat. During my recent visit, I got to try this dish along with some of their other entrées, and most of them were solid. The chili sauce worked well to enhance the flavors of the shrimp and the mushroom, and the fried shrimp toast was also excellent. On the other hand, their award-winning fried pork was quite disappointing. While the dipping sauce was unique, the meats weren’t juicy and tender as advertised.

Overall, the entrées were definitely better quality than the ones you could get at a typical neighborhood Chinese place. However, the portions were a bit small for the price, so I would recommend adding some noodles if...

제가 평생 리뷰안썼는데 너무 기분 안좋아서 글 씁니다. 음식은 괜찮은데, 남자 매니저? 웨이터? 분은 정말 불쾌하게 행동하시네요. 저희 부부 양가 부모님 오랫만에 모시고 룸잡고 식사하는데, 무례하다는 표현이 부족할 정도로 기분 나쁘게 하네요. 저희 어머님이 중간에 추가 주문하며, "이거 이거는 주문 했는데 안나왔고, 이거는 추가 주문하려한다"고 했더니 어이없고 비아냥 거리는 표정과 말투로 "이미 주문한건 말할 필요 없고 뭘 더 시키시는건가요"라고 틱틱대고, 이야기 나누고 있는데 갑자기 돌연들어와서 짜증나는 표정으로 "그릇 다 치웁니다"라고 해서 "마감 시간인가요"라고 물었더니 "네 주방 설거지도 좀 해야 합니다"라는 식으로 비꼬네요. 그냥 "실례지만 이제 마감 시간이어서 그릇 좀 가져가도 될까요"라고 하면 안되는지요? 일하기 싫으시면 그냥 그만 두시는게 낫지않을까요? 다른 여자 웨이터 분들은 친절하고 대하던데, 그 남자분 때문에 저희 부부는 좋은 날 부모님 기분만 언짢게 한것 같아 굉장히 화가납니다. 두번 다시 일일향 7호점은 물론, 그 어느 체인점도 안갈것이며, 널리 이러한 의견을 수단과 방법을...
