Jin Mi Chicken — Restaurant in Suwon-si

I don't recommend this place. Service is not very good (dropping the menu on your table, pointing to what you should take without even asking if you want a recommendation, not smiling, and walking away with your food order without even asking if you'd like a drink). But most importantly, food is not great. You have the choice between two dishes: fried chicken, and fried chicken in spicy sauce. The problem is that quantity seems more important than quality here. Plates are huge (the smallest plate is too much for 1 person, and probably even for 2). The chicken seems to be randomly cut, there are bones in almost every chunk on your plate. In some pieces, there's even more bone than meat to eat. The whole stuff is a bit dry, and lacks something to accompany the chicken (there's no rice, salad, fries or anything else...). I was disappointed by this experience in the renowned "Chicken Street" of Suwon. Maybe I didn't choose well the restaurant... Or maybe there all...

Possibly the most crowded and popular fried chicken stall in the Suwon Chicken Street, many koreans from other districts and cities travel here to eat the chicken as Jin Mi Chicken refuses to open franchise outlets, this outlet is their one and only outlet. They only serve 3 types of chicken: original flavour fried chicken, spicy fried chicken and oven roasted chicken. We tried the normal fried chicken and it was amazing, its nothing like KFC or Popeyes, the batter is crispy and fragrant, not salty nor powdery. Side dishes like kimchi and crispy snacks were provided for free. It is recommended to pair the fried chicken with Terra beer for the best Fried Chicken experience. 1 whole chicken only costs 18000 won and can be shared...

This establishment is welcoming to foreigners, even if the ajumma (elderly lady) doesn't speak English. Using a translation app and pointing at items works effectively. The ajumma is exceptionally friendly and patient despite the bustling environment. Additionally, the younger gentleman at the payment counter speaks English fluently and is also very kind and friendly. The overall experience was well-organized, from managing the queue to seating, ordering, and paying.

The "half and half" fried chicken was expertly prepared; despite being coated in sauce, the chicken retained its crispiness. I would definitely recommend...
