If you're Asian (or simply knows what Asian food needs to look like) and enjoy great Indian food, this is not the place, if you want a decent curry! BTW Tandoori Mixed Grill was good, no problem with that dish. The rest I didn't get the opportunity, so not reviewing that.
The portion of a Chicken Madras was ridiculous, only full bowl of sauce and 7 small tiny pieces of chicken. Not worth the price or quantity of food.
The service; I asked to the gentleman taking orders "is this the portion" he explained "yes", and that was the end of that conversation! So, I wasnt happy and couldn't bring myself to pay 10€ for this dish, so I had to cancel it and asked him to take it, and didn't even bother to come back to apologise or even come take the chapati (ordered with the chicken)! or offer for me to order another dish. I sat waiting until the second person I was with finished their meal... At the end, the second person had a Tandoori Mixed Grill @ 12.95€ and Keema Naan @ 3.50€ (as per the menu on the leaflet and on the display glass outside) however, when the bill came he decided to charge 4€ for the keema naan but keeping the exact same price for the Mixed Grill. I didn't understand, so I questioned it, he said decided to first tell me "no, it's 4€, without even caring why I raised it in the first place, then after we explained its clearly on the menu, he decided to tell us "this is takeaway price"; at this point I was extremely frustrated and simply demanded we are paying 3.50€ for the keema naan and nothing more. I literally explained this is the menu your guy outside is showing us to come eat inside the restaurant! (At this point I didn't know of the glass display outside on the main road). I was very happy to leave and go to another restaurant to eat! Which is exactly what I did.... Never again, and trust your gutt feeling if the food doesn't look good, don't bother. Unfortunately I didn't take a picture of the curry, but it is exactly the same as the one already posted on another review by someone else. It's nothing special, trust me! Go to Ghandi down the road; much better.... and their review is now posted on their restaurant.
TO THE MANAGER: sort your attitude of staff out and service!!! So disrespectful and unhelpful, and might I add...
Read morePopped in for the fist time today after a long day post a trip La Gomera. Place is fairly new in the area and we always like to give the new ventures a fair crack of the whip. We were relatively early and the place was empty on our arrival so we had our choice of table. We shared a "Curry and Spice" starter which was a mixed kebab platter for two, and then had Lamb Methi, Saag Aloo, Pilua Rice and Garlic Naan to share for main along with a bottle of house red ( Isla Negra Merlot). The food was very tasty and the Saag Aloo particularly hit the spot. Naan was a bit on the thin side for my personal taste but the wife preferred it to the more doughy tandoor cooked version that I prefer. The only down side from a purely personnel standpoint was the lack of a Green Tea for her indoors to finish the meal. We will be back and I would recommend for those who want a curry with a substantial consistancy rather than the wishy washy stuff you get at some Indian...
