La Libélula Playa Paraíso — Restaurant in Adeje

They do not cater for gluten free (coeliac) people like me. I am giving it 2 stars for the cappuccino and the lovely blonde waitress that apologized as I ordered 2 things from the menu because they could be made GF and they both came with either bread or granola, very disappointing. She didn't take the order but she kindly told me she was sorry about the mistake. No one from the kitchen (or even the waitress who took the wrong order and didn't flag anything to the kitchen) said anything, not a discount to apologies for the mistake, nothing.

The food itself is nothing special either, I took scrambled eggs and were quite dry and tasteless, my partner had a baguette with serrano ham and he wasn't surprised, small portions and not so much ham for the price you pay (we paid 20 euros).

Sad to write this review because the place is in a lovely setting but they need to pay attention to the customer and different type of allergies they might have.

Staff could be more professional, when we went they were disorganized but there were only 5 tables to serve so I saw few people going inside to check where their order was...

The food was nothing out of the ordinary, but basically good. However, the "special potatoes" as a side dish with the burger were just normal wedges. The portion was rather small. The service was unfortunately relatively poor. After being seated, the cards were handed out about 15 minutes later. Another 10 min later then the drinks were ordered. When bringing food, a dish was first brought, which actually the neighboring table had ordered...

Basically, the service team seemed to be overburdened - some guests also got up and left after a few minutes before the first contact with the staff.

So all in all: food was good - but you have to bring some patience for both food...

We decided to have a walk from Callao Salvaje and see where we ended up. We stopped here for a bit of light lunch, I had the tuna salad, hubby had the mozzarella salad, with a dish of Olives - with a coke and Fanta lemon. I finished off with blueberry cheesecake and we both had a white coffee. Atmosphere very relaxed. Only thing missing for me was a cushion on the chair, I'm such an old woman 😆Modern, clean, great service, rattan placemats, nice cutlery. Easy background music with a some sea views. And a lizard that came out to say hello. A great place for a light lunch. We'll def be back to try the boards next time. Next time I'll take pics...
