What a pleasant experience we had in this well organised and professional cafe with my amiga and our 2 dogs. We both ate the jumbo English breakfast with a nice fresh orange juice and superb coffee (which I later found out from the owner was Lavazza brand coffee). The breakfast was of great quality, hot and delicious at a very reasonable price. Proper good quality back bacon and eggs etc. The sausages were maybe not of the most top quality, but I understand that in the Canary Islands it's going to be very difficult to find authentic English sausages available, and these weren't too bad really.

The staff were all really very friendly, helpful, welcoming and happy. The owner was a really great guy who took the time to talk to us and gave us a free chupito! Gracias amigo!!

The toilets were very clean and well equipped with soap and paper towels etc. (even if the toilet seat was a bit loose!)

All in all I couldn't fault anything with this lovely cafe. I will definitely return here the next time I'm on the island and in town (we live in the neighbouring island of La Palma). It's so nice to come away from a place being totally satisfied, knowing that you chose the right place and for this happy and set up for the rest of the day.

Excellent and...

Honestly I don’t know why this has less than a 4.5 so I’ll share my own experience.

I noticed Food Avenue when we first arrived at the Hard Rock Hotel. I noticed it again when we went to the market and I could smell the food. On our 2nd or 3rd day here, we opted to go and it was a great decision.

I initially got the garlic mushrooms and a piña colada while my boyfriend got whatever he got. We were impressed enough that we went the next day and got the filet steak and fries, with garlic mushrooms. We then went the next day as well.

For the price, the steak was better than stuff I’ve had in America. The food is great, the prices are great, and the food comes out quick and fresh. The owner has a sense of humor that some may not appreciate, but we enjoy it greatly.

It’s not a place with ocean views, but it’s definitely our favorite place...

Local person with a love for this bar , and one person that gets good responses from their reviews ..

Sunday June 2nd. What happened? We all have bad days but I brought people to meet at the cafe. ( had to send them to another cafe ) 15 waitiing , no staff. I go inside , I ask the only visible worker ( 7pm ) " busy day , no staff?" in my basic Spanish. Poor girl looked scared. Bought 2 beers and took a menu to street table. Nobody came near us. Went to toilet ordering 2 beers as I passed. Saw a cook , and another person. Had 2nd beer, no food , wasv not asked ever I wanted any. It was so good. Now,.... embarrassing. Explain...

Came here a couple of times on holiday for breakfast and dinner. All staff are very friendly and helpful food is very nice and well priced (had a burger which was massive). Small menu choice but should be something for everyone. Had breakfast twice full English well recommended and a good choice of teas and coffees Decent range of beers local on draft and several Belgian bottles, staff knew enough to give recommendation as well. Staff speak several languages so can offer help to anyone

The food was ok. My group had chips, bolognese, pancakes with fruit and ice cream, and a steak with chips. The steak was great, and I saw some amazing sandwiches going to other tables, but the bolognese was extremely disappointing and tasted of chilli and the pancakes look nothing like what was on the menu but tasted fine. If you come here, i recommend the steak, chips, and sandwiches. The atmosphere was nice and cheerful.
