Walked in to order take away. Was not acknowledged for several minutes while 3 waiters were talking to each other. Eventually they finished and all walked past me without saying anything. I stopped the last one and asked if it was possible to order something. His response was that they were very busy. I replied “oh, it doesn’t look busy” (most of the inside tables were empty) but this must have triggered the guy because his attitude became worse. He complained they had a staff shortage and said “you shouldn’t talk about things you don’t know about”. I know English isn’t this guy’s native tongue and maybe he didn’t understand how offensive that was. And I guess he was having a bad day… but don’t take it out on me! I ate here once before and the food was not so amazing but thought to try again to see if it had improved after the opening. But this guy’s attitude put me off and I thanked him and left. And this guy I had previously thought could have been the manager from the earlier visit (skinny guy, tattoos). I hope you have a...
Read moreWe went in earlier with high expectations after reading all the positive reviews, but sadly the experience was disappointing. My drink arrived only near the end of our meal — after I chased it twice and even saw the server deliver it to two other tables, who both rejected it, before it finally reached me. We ordered five dishes and were told that our waiter was on their first day. To help, we slowed down, repeated our order clearly, and even pointed to the items on the menu. Unfortunately, by the time everyone else had finished their food, our last two bowls of ramen still hadn’t arrived. When I asked another staff member about them, I was told they “didn’t go through the till” and was asked if I wanted to order them again. By that point, over an hour had passed since we arrived. We no longer had the patience or appetite to wait. Although they apologized and removed part of our drink bill, it didn’t change the fact that I left the restaurant hungry and...
Read moreAlthough our waiter was friendly and helpful, the food here was very disappointing. The prawn crackers didn't taste fresh and the dipping sauce was the same awful rendition offered at the Imperial Tai-Pan restaurant in the Safari centre; insipid, chemically, weak and watery, really disgusting. Bright red coloured gyozas were also poor with the compressed piece of meat falling out when bitten. We had an unusual tasting, weak teriyaki sauce with chicken main course, likewise a Chinese Char Sui pork dish with noodles main course was lacking in taste, had few of the vegetables mentioned and served with a nondescript sauce in the bottom of the bowl that was unexpected, along with large lumps of fried egg in the noodles which were not described in the menu either. The banana spring roll desert was okay and went well with the vanilla Ice-cream. This restaurant needs to be re-invented for me to...
