BambuHouse — Restaurant in Alcúdia

I am giving 5 stars for this place based on the meal I had with 3 others on 27th December. We ordered mapo tofu, beef with green pepper, duck and special rice which were all really nicely prepared and I will take the fact that it took 25ish minutes to arrive as a good sign that everything was freshly prepared. The mapo tofu was not in the traditional style but I am sure this is due to local tastes and the availability of ingredients, it was nevertheless delicious and we ordered two bowls of it. The rice was not greasy and had a wok hei taste, the duck was crispy, generously portioned and had a rich sauce to accompany it. The beef had been silkened beautifully and the peppers were still fresh and crunchy. I love spicy food and the chilli sauce accompaniment was a welcome addition to the table. The lady serving us was lovely, calm and very welcoming. I am here until the 4th January and may return before my departure. BambuHouse is my kind of establishment, although it may not be to the taste of those expecting more...

Had a lovely meal here with my partner, really fancied some Asian food and this is where we came and I'm so glad we did! Staff were wonderful, beautiful weather, seating indoors and outdoors, the spring rolls tasted of fresh ingredients, not frozen, pork chow mein was fabulous I wish we ordered 2, crispy chilli beef was delicious and not where its going to break your teeth, had a vodka and orange and a pint aswell, came to €30 wish I tried more dishes there, lush. We have been here several times usually very good, however our recent visit on 6/5/23 was a real disappointment, ordered crispy beef which came out much later than our other dishes and it was white in colour as if dipped in flour, it wasn't crispy, although hot. Thinking about it later I felt it had been forgotten & so probably been microwaved rather than fried! Horrible! ( my husband refused to eat it, I had just a small amount but was quite sick later on!!) What a shame, has put us...
