We arrived at 1810 but was informed they first opened at 1830. After a bit of arguing we were allowed to sit down and have something to drink while we waited for the kitchen to open. The wine we ordered was however out of stock.
We waited for almost two hours for the first part of the food arrived (kids menus). Then another 20 minutes for the rest.
While we waited a cockroach ran across the room, but since noone reacted (even though we told them it was there and the waiter looked mortified) we decided to step on it. And then it died out next to another dusty one that has been dead for some time..
When the food came it was quite good, but I was offered some chili sauce to add to my quesadillas, but it turned out it was over the bbd by about a year and a half. The waiter offered me to get another one, but I guess they were all old since I saw her hauling the lot away.
There are many great restaurants in the area, this is not one of them. It might have been good at one time, but it needs a...
Read moreWe had been to their partner restaurant Carbon Moreno in the old town of Alcudia before and loved the burgers there so we tried Delito in the harbor because they serve the same burgers. We were so disappointed! The burgers were quite tasteless, none of them had salsa on it (which sounded so good on the menu). The arugula wasn’t fresh and the fries were the worst. Even though I had asked for sweet potato fries I was served regular fries at first. After commenting on this the waitress took my plate (with the burger) and came back ten minutes later with sweet potato fries. By this time the burger was cold and the sweet potato fries were a joke. They looked and tasted so old, they were almost black, completely dry and over seasoned, as if they had served me the left overs that were still in the frier from ten days ago. The staff was very slow as well, we waited for 20 minutes to pay by card! Wouldn’t come back here, we were so...
Read moreAfter visiting Carbon Moreno in Alcudia old town to discover is was closed down we called the restaurant who told us they had moved to Port d’Alcudia. We were getting ‘hangry’ at this point so this wasn’t a great start. However, when we ventured down to the Port we were seated by a nice lady who was very attentive.
My boyfriend had the beef tacos which he said were okay, my sister had a cheese burger which she said was really delicious and I had a classic burger with a gluten free bun which I really enjoyed. ( It’s very hard to come across a restaurant that has gluten free burger buns so this is a plus for me ! ) We also has guacamole and nachos to share which was lovely.
My only reasoning for not giving this place full stars is:
• Online, Carbon Moreno states that is open in Alcudia when it has actually closed down. • The serving plates are very small and can make it quite messy/ uncomfortable to eat given the...
