Altabirra — Restaurant in Alicante

Looking for real ale in Alicante. This is the place. All brewed in the on premises microbrewery and really worthwhile. Served via co2 gas and chilled it is a little fizzy and too cold for my taste but eminently drinkable. Really nice range of beers including Weiss, Irish red, IPA, hoppy IPA and APA. Well worth a visit and has really helpful staff and a nice atmosphere. Food is also served. Thoroughly recommended. Visited January 2020.Update from my latest visit May 2022. Still as good as ever with a similar selection of ales including a Begian blonde at 6.5% which is a cloudy but very refreshing ale on a hot summers evening. Wonderful brew pub. Classic decor. Very cozy.

They offer up to 10 different beers, ales and stouts at any one time. From Boston ale to IPAs to dark rich stouts there was nothing to complain about. They will only get better as time goes on.

They also have a small but well diversified menu. Suggestions for pairings will be given upon request.

I am in Palma de Mallorca, and just hit the place after a charming young lady stuck me an advert in hand. Little did I know that I would experience one of my best burger meals ever at this, as I came to know, newopened spot in Palma. This is global top class, the burger, the brew, the staff.
