The matcha latte was, frankly, a major disappointment. Here's why: matcha tasted incredibly bitter and lacked the smooth, slightly sweet undertone that a good matcha should have. It felt like drinking straight up matcha powder mixed with water, without any balance. The drink had a gritty texture, indicating that the matcha was not properly whisked or dissolved. This left an unpleasant, chalky residue in the mouth There was a strong, almost stale smell, which is not typical for fresh matcha. It was off-putting and did not invite one to take another sip. The milk seemed poorly integrated, either too watery or too thick, failing to create that creamy consistency you expect in a latte.
Overall, it was an unappealing experience and did not capture the essence of what a matcha latte should be.
The iced latte fared slightly better than the matcha latte but still left much to be desired. Key points:
The coffee had a harsh, burnt taste that overshadowed any subtle flavors. It lacked the richness and smoothness that a good espresso base should provide. Temperature The drink was not cold enough. By the time it was served, the ice had melted significantly, diluting the flavor further. The milk tasted off, possibly due to poor quality or improper storage. It didn't complement the coffee well and made the drink feel heavy. Sweetness: If there was any sweetener added, it was either too much or too little, leading to an imbalance in taste.
While the iced latte was drinkable compared to the matcha, it still didn't meet the basic standards of what you would expect from a well-made iced coffee.
Overall Impression Both drinks were unsatisfactory and didn't provide an enjoyable experience. Attention to ingredient quality and preparation methods is crucial, and unfortunately, both were lacking in these beverages. We won't be returning for these lattes...
Read morePossibly one of the worst ice-cream I have had in a while. Tasted of sugar and frost more than anything else. Definitely did not feel home made. If you are used to Artisanal Italian Gelato, go elsewhere. Addition: I understand you make your icecreams in house....well, then you must have a problem or two somewhere. The grittiness and frost in the ice cream are indicative of a series of issues: poor fat and sugar balancing is the first thing I'd try to look at and work on, if you are serious about improvement. Also address temperature control, as at some point in the process, the ice cream might have been frozen to a temperature lower than the standard serving temperature. If coupled with poor fat integration during the initial phases, this can create tiny air bubbles that will freeze and spoil your ice cream. Ingredients: you really seriously need to consider the ingredients you use: the pistachio was tasteless and unnaturally green, so something wrong there. Freshness: gelato should be made fresh every couple of days. Make smaller batches every day and do not deep freeze the extra!! Service training: please train your staff on how to fill a cone...the poor girl had no idea how to serve artisan icecream and made a cone that was wonky at best!! Painful to watch.... .... As it stands, I am afraid your attempts are amateur at best, but I wish you all the best in your...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible experience. We ordered five drinks to go, iced matchas and iced lattes. What we received was like drinking DIRTY water—completely flavorless with just a huge piece of ice. To make matters worse, the drinks were still hot despite being advertised as iced. We ended up spending 20 euros just to throw everything in the bin. On top of the poor quality, the service was equally bad. The staff member we interacted with was not nice at all. Would not recommend this...
