Stick to the sweet stuff! Amazing vegan and gluten free pastries. We were blown away by how good the cinnamon roll was. Cheese cake and chocolate muffins were nice too. Hard to tell they were gluten free. However the bagel was too hard and terrible. Ham was chopped in cubes which was strange, should have been sliced thinly so they wouldn’t all fall out when you pick it up. The tacos were way overpriced and served in the weirdest way that i have encountered around the world. Three types of meat (bacon, heura and cubed hams….like what served in cold cuts). Meat has zero tacos spices and there are no veggies coming with it. Where are the usual lettuce, pico de gallo, salsa, tomatoes..anything! I would take anything. Comes with guacamole and sour cream, those helped make it edible we were hungry. And its 13 euros. I think the restaurant should just take this off the menu, it can damage your reputation on the excellent...
Read moreEat here multiple times on my trip to Alicante. Everything vegan and gluten free!!!! Heaven! Sometimes gluten free alternatives can be an unpleasant texture or consistency but the baked good from this shop are amazing!!!!!! Cinnamon buns was up there with some of the best I've tried and the palmeras were so delicious and crunchy. The staff are super friendly and welcoming and great at explaining what everything is. Hands down one of the best eating experiences I've had especially as someone with a sweet tooth. Just don't be mislead by Google maps giving you the old location. I just so happened to stumble across the new location after being disappointed they were closed and was heading to a different restaurant. It's only 2 blocks down nearer to the water front on the corner. 10 out of 10 would recommend even for non coeliacs...
Read moreThe promise of this bakery was an influencing factor in the decision to visit Alicante. I am vegan, and can't eat gluten so this was like a dream! I have eaten cake five days in a row and would eat more if I was remaining in the city. I have had plentiful chocolate ring doughnuts, a cinnamon bun, red velvet cake, a custard doughnut, chocolate cake and passion fruit cake. My favourite was the doughnuts which taste like McDonalds ones used to in the 90s, baked and doughy rather than fried. I also had the white baguette (a bit crumbly inside but outside lovely). I've visited with my vegan friend who is not gluten free but often eats that way with me, and she enjoyed it too, the red velvet cake was her favorite. Go, I don't think you'll be...
