Abora — Restaurant in Arona

I let my guard down and agreed to eat at this place even though my alarm bells was all over the place. I ordered a long island tea before the meal and normally one of those drinks packs a punch but this one didn't even get me smiling. I ordered bread with aioli for starters and fish and chips for the main course. However I received the fish and chips well before the bread. The bread was one just one cold and hard bread roll I didn't even waste my time tasting it. The fish consisted of two small parts of white fish not sure it was cod but it was merley ok, the chips was soggy and not properly cooked and then there was the salad that was tossed on the plate by a person who lost their will to live. At least it wasn't too expensive but I would rather eat at any fast food chain instead.

If they spent just a fraction of the energy the use for luring in customer on the food this place could be...

Not very good experience, was alone and found a small table which I sat at, ordered drink which the rushed off her feet waitress brought, ordered burger and chips but came back with a cheese burger and then told me that's what I ordered, I asked her to take it away and give me correct order. She then asked to move my table up and then crammed in another table with 2 other adjoining tables, I was was then joined by a further 5 people one who sat opposite me while I was about to have my meal, needless to say, I got up, paid for my beer and walked out. I think the word GREED springs to mind, I have been going to the Abora for many years, but...

Constantly choosing here great deal from Abora - sirloin steaks with included wine of your choise for couple. Meat is perfect, if you said medium well - they will do exactly how you wish. It is very delicious, home white wine is special - I had never tried anything like this! But the very special atmosphere created by Ruben and his cheerful team - you feel like meeting your best friends each time visiting this place! Always grateful for compliments like rum shots or cheese balls....
