Today, we visited Destino, a restaurant located right by the sea in the resort area of Los Cristianos. It’s one of the premium dining spots in the area, offering stunning ocean views, a great location, and excellent service.
📌 First Impressions
At the entrance, there is a menu stand, allowing visitors to check the prices and offerings before entering. The restaurant provides menus in seven languages, which is very convenient: ✅ English ✅ German ✅ Dutch ✅ Swedish ✅ Finnish ✅ Danish ✅ Polish ✅ Russian
A big plus is the dedicated kids’ menu, priced at €5.95, making it a family-friendly spot.
🍽️ What We Ordered?
We decided to try: ✔ Chicken breast in mushroom sauce with potatoes – €10 ✔ Fish risotto – €15
The pricing is quite reasonable for such a prime location, especially considering the seafront setting.
💨 Atmosphere & Service
✅ The dining area is spacious, with plenty of available seating. Tables are neatly arranged with clean green tablecloths. ✅ The staff speaks English well, and our food arrived in just 15 minutes – fast and efficient service! ✅ There’s a covered area to protect diners from wind and rain, ensuring comfort even in bad weather. Large glass panels block the wind, making it a cozy place regardless of the conditions. ✅ Family-friendly: There’s a children’s playground directly across from the restaurant, allowing kids to have fun while parents enjoy their meal. ✅ Relaxed and lively vibe: The staff is friendly and cheerful, making interactions enjoyable. Around us, people were laughing and clearly having a great time.
☕ Extras & Comfort
✔ The restaurant provides individual portions of ketchup, soy sauce, olive oil, salt, and pepper – a nice touch. ✔ Highchairs for children are readily available. ✔ Coffee is good, served in decent-sized cups. ✔ Well-equipped interior: Thoughtful lighting installations and air conditioning ensure a comfortable dining experience. Although the AC wasn’t on during our visit, we assume it’s used on hotter days.
💰 Final Bill & Availability
Our total bill came to around €40, which is quite reasonable for the quality of food and the prime location.
We arrived at 6 PM, and the restaurant was partially full – some tables were occupied, but plenty were still available.
⭐ Final Verdict
Destino is a great choice if you’re looking for a well-located restaurant with good food, fast service, and a cozy atmosphere. ✅ Ideal for families – kids’ menu + playground nearby ✅ Beautiful ocean views ✅ Fast service and friendly staff ✅ Affordable prices for a premium location

Read moreOur first experience was very good, but second one and the last one - horrible. First, they brought me wrong cocktail (ordered strawberry daikiri - got some grapefruit strange drink), asked to change - and.. they brought me cranberry daikiri))) I mentioned it to an asian looking lady (turns out she is a boss) that second time I got cranberry daikiri, not strawberry- just to let her know. Instead of apologies, she started to tell me that she is sure it’s strawberry one. Well, both me and my husband were a bit shocked, but no matter, we just replied: “no problem” When starters arrived: i ordered cheese crockets for my 3,5 year old kid, and luckily my husband tried it before giving to the child - crockets were cold and frozen inside!!! Ok, we asked to changed them - waiter (man) apologised and later bring new ones, other starter was ok. When my main arrived: it was octopus, but served with chinesse chili sauce, not with mojo sauces as it was on picture and in a menu; when I tried one piece - it was really chewy, and i decided to try other part - and it was IMPOSSIBLE to even to cut it! I called the asian lady again and mentioned about problem with the dish, even showed here that I can’t even cut it. She just said: “yes, it can be, this is just a bad part of octopus” and that’s it. No appology, no change of the dish. At the end, I asked a man waiter that after all of today, I am not happy and wouldn’t pay this octopus dish since it’s uncuttable and uneatable as well. He agreed with me, appologised and asked to wait, to try to negotiate something for us. In few minutes he returned and said his boss thinks all food was good and I should’n complain. When I was anyway paying, she managed to come and said me some stupid words, that I should learn how to eat octopus and learn restaurant culture of Spain)) What?! This asian lady-owner is mentally sick, so sorry for other good guys working for her.. P.S. Not reccomended at all due to quality of food and service of the...
Read moreI've been at Tenerife several times with friends and my wife already, and this place was our regular choice for dinners - the food and the staff are truly amazing! It's embarrassing to say, but this place is actually one of the reasons why I come only to Los Cristianos, even though there are obviously other enjoyable places at Tenerife.
The food is really delicious. We tried so many dishes from the menu (more than 20 at least), and all of them were either really good or truly amazing. We have visited other places to see if they can compete with Destino, but no - after weeks of experiments we were not able to find anything of such a high level as Destino.
The view, the atmosphere and the food quality are excellent and I would definitely recommend visiting...
