If you haven’t been to San Gabriele yet, you’re simply doing Tenerife wrong.
Tucked away in sunny Los Cristianos, San Gabriele isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a love letter to Italian cuisine, signed with olive oil and sealed with parmesan.
The pizza? Crispy perfection with every bite, like Italy decided to take a holiday and brought a wood-fired oven. The pasta? So deliciously rich and authentic, you half expect someone’s nonna to pop out of the kitchen and give you a hug. And the seafood? Fresher than your sunburn, cooked with that Mediterranean magic that makes you say “bellissimo” even if you’ve only seen The Godfather.
And the staff? Warm, friendly, and genuinely lovely — you’ll feel less like a customer and more like a long-lost cousin popping by for a proper Italian feast.
The location? Right near the beach — perfect for a romantic dinner, a cheeky bite after a swim, or just treating yourself because, frankly, you deserve it.
Bottom line: If you're in Tenerife and skip San Gabriele, it's like going to New York and not seeing the skyline.

Read moreMy Carbonara was very poor. There are clearly several different chefs here, because some of the photos of carbonara look respectable and nothing like what I was served. Traditional ingredients were used, but chef used far too much cheese and not enough pasta water. The pasta was undercooked and lacking black pepper, and there wasn’t any on my table. Between the time the pasta left the kitchen and was served it had quite literally set like glue. Carbonarra should be silky and slippery, and should always be plated slightly thinner than you want the customer to receive it. I was tempted to return the dish, but it was so poor I wasn’t interested in waiting another 30 mins for something else that was also likely to be disappointing. The waiter was a completely absent minded 18yo. I left half the plate, paid and left. The only reason I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1 is for the friendliness of the concierge from Luxembourg. Maybe the pizza is better, but I won’t be returning...

Most definitely recommend coming here, I am pleased...
