Restaurante Agua marina — Restaurant in Arona

The highlight of our Tenerife trip.

We came here because of the great reviews and reasonable prices and were not disappointed. Additionally, the service was fantastic, with all the wait staff being incredibly friendly and efficient. The waiters took pride in restaurant they work for. We were given complimentary olives and nuts, the only restaurant in the area to do so. We ordered the Prawns Agua Marina as a change from the usual garlic prawns, which came in a delicious soup that we drank like soup afterwards. Next time I will ask for bread to go with it! The tuna tataki came in an impressive portion and tasted much better than a serving we had in a different local restaurant for 3 times the price earlier in our trip. You can get an oyster and glass of wine for 5.50, and the oyster was the biggest I've ever ordered. Very tasty, and the Sauvignon blanc I had with it was nice too. The cocktails are all around the 5-6 Euro price and the one I had was delicious. They didn't skimp on the booze. The seafood soup was lovely and full of mussels, clams, prawns and calamari. We are trying to figure out when we can squeeze in another visit on the brief remainder of our trip so we can try the tuna tartare and...

2nd visit with a month in between, 5 stars al over, from the freshness of the ingredients, to the delicate touch at the kitchen, and the very good table service, all at a very competitive price.

July 2022 update: The chef had dropped my favorite salad for the summer (the one with arrugola, prawns and orange juice sauce) and although you can ask for it if you want the new summer flavors are just as interesting.

I tried the "parrillada de pescado y marisco" which was only 19.50 and had delicious "steamed mejillones" and other liquor flamed treats, and plenty of them to make for a nice dinner for two counting with the delicious goat cheese and salmon entry, very recommended!

With a couple pints of "claras" (draft beer with lemon soda) a light yet tasty and very fresh seafood dinner for two adults totaled 42€

A great value by itself but if you ad the very nice service and pleasant sea breaze, a place to return...

I enjoyed a lot this restaurant. I ate oysyer with sangria and grilled sea food. This was 11 out of 10. Food was very tasty and good. Most wonderful thing in this place is service to the customers. I observed one thing here when I was eating. One couple wanted to smoke the sigarett and the table beside was family with children. They arranged that customer with children move to another tables and explained another customer which wanted to seat in that table agian so that they could choose to sit in that table or not. Most amazing things are they are also very friendly to the smokers as well. This is outside sitting tables. So people can smoke.
