Pizzeria Daccapo — Restaurant in Arona

After trying for a couple of days to book here,we were really excited after seeing the reviews and what looked like good food while we were walking by the day before! We were given a 3.30pm slot and told that we couldn't book later that afternoon because we were told that the restaurant closes at 4.30pm to clean up ready for the evening service. So,we were fine with that and just happy to get in. We got there at 3.25pm and were asked if we wanted a drink and our order was taken. We had a small Beer and a Coca-Cola. I went for the 3 courses with Pate to start and Pork Chop with chips. My wife went with Pork Loin with chips. Our drinks were served immediately. When the Pate finally came out at 3.55pm it looked amazing! And I have to say it tasted amazing and it was a huge portion! Even though it took a while to get it was worth the wait. Then it went badly downhill! 2 people and a baby turned up at 4.40pm and sat on the table next to us and placed their order,and this was still before our mains came! This was way too long to wait for something as easy as pork chops! Our mains finally turned up at 4.45pm and both of our meat was overcooked! The next table had their food served 5 minutes after ours,even though they were only there 10 minutes or so! My Pork Chop was very small,more bone than meat and was way overcooked and dry! Awful! Nobody came over to ask if we needed any condiments,sauces or anything more to drink! We sat there,having left 3/4 of our mains,until around 5.00pm. When I asked for the bill,I was told that there was a dessert as part of my 3 course. I was so frustrated at this point that I told them I didn't want it! Not once were we asked if everything was ok and if we needed anything or wanted something to drink! Absolutely shocking service and clearly rushed cooking because they wanted to close up to get ready for the evening! Yet they still served walk in customers at 4.40pm after telling us that 3.30pm was the latest bookings in the afternoons! Read my other reviews to see I only leave honest reviews. Increíble lo que nos acaba de pasar en este restaurante llegamos sobre la 1 y media de la tarde de muy mala gana dos señoras rubias que estaban allí trabajando nos dicen k sin reserva no nos atienden le decimos k no pasa nada que esperamos a las 3 y media k nos de una reserva ...nos apuntan y volvemos a las 3 y media ...nos sientan en una mesa minúscula con el sol de frente aún teniendo un carrito con una bebé nos dice k no nos puede dar otra mesa que tenían libre en una esquina por k con el carrito interrumpimos a la puerta del mismo edificio del local ....por que ponéis una mesa entonces justo enfrente de la puerta del edificio?? Nada nos traen la carta y los cubiertos y nos dejan esperando como unos 10 minutos en ese tiempo se levanta una mesa de seis personas y le comunico a la intento de camarera que nos gustaría cambiarnos puesto que estamos incómodos debido al sol y a que no tenemos espacio para la bebe ...nos dicen k esperemos un poco a que la limpien y podemos sentarnos ....nos tuvieron allí con los cubiertos y las cartas en la mano 20 minutos de reloj increíble una clienta que estaba quedándose con la movida se levantó en su asiento y nos dijo que si fuera ella se iría que ella y su pareja estaban notando k no kerian atendernos y que la comida era mala k ella no iba a volver ...raciones muy grandes de mala calidad que no valía la pena ...tomamos la decisión de irnos aún después de haber esperado por 30 minutos o más solo a que nos sentarán teniendo reserva para las 3 y media ....para mi mayor sorpresa voi a una de los intentos de camarera y le entregó los cubiertos las cartas y le doy las gracias irónicamente a lo k me contesta DE NADA ..EN PLAN BURLA Y DESPECTIVAMENTE SIN CONOCERNOS DE NADA AUN ASISTIENDO AL SITIO CON UNA BEBE ...Aparte de eso somos canarios gente de aki que vive en las inmediaciones y posibles repetidores ....en mi vida en las 400 reseñas que tengo puestas veréis un comentario como este un desprecio increíble por parte de las camareras nefasta atención no lo recomiendo para nada ....con lo que no contabais es que mis reseñas las ven 70 mil personas al mes espero para que sirva en que almenos 2 o 3 familias inteligentes no vallan a comer a vuestro restaurante con una atención pésima...gracias a la clienta por informarnos que la comida está a la altura de la atención ...que vergüenza que queden sitios así sois una pizzeria bien ubicada veis que os va bien en un momento determinado por la afluencia de turismo de la isla y os creéis con derecho a tratar así a los clientes ...vais en el buen camino seguir así k la vida pone a todo el...

Wow! Was definitely not expecting that! The food was fantastic, authentic and very tasty! I had the tomato, garlic and basil bruscetta for starters, which was a very generous portion and bursting with flavour and oozing freshness. This was followed by their Calzone, again a very generous portion, the freshest dough and very tasty. My partner had a Texas pizza, served with jalapeños, pineapple, sweetcorn and chicken topped with mozzarella, again a generous size, light, and crispy dough which again was very tasty. The restaurant is a cosy premises with seating outside, tucked away down a narrow street near the seafront but very reasonably priced, welcomong and we were even served a limoncello with the bill. I saw plenty of other dishes leaving the kitchen, which makes me want to go back to sample them. Definitely...
