Was treated so badly. I don't get it. There are plenty of people who work from cafes in Barcelona and I do that too often. I liked the decor of this cafe so I went. But after this, never again at this place!
Firstly when I arrived I asked if there's wifi and if it's ok to work from there. They said "yes of course." as I needed somewhere to work from. Later on a woman staff disturbs me in the middle of my important call telling me that they need this table, I have to stop my call, and politely said I'm on a call and would move in 10min, her response is "This is our restaurant, we need the table" - Sure, I said yes, and I understand and am happy to move, and am getting ready to wrap up my call and move, but she kept coming back twice more to disturb me again and again saying "This is OUR restaurant, we need a table NOW" "We're not a library". I'd like to also highlight that there were two other tables next to me with the same size table, with one person with a laptop, seems to be working too, but she seems to be ok with those people, just me who's not allowed to sit there for some reason.
I totally understand that if the cafe gets busy they want me to move and give the table to a larger group, I am totally happy to do so, and I exactly said I would do so but give me 10min. If I wasn't in the middle of a call I would move right away. And I told her so. I don't see why a staff needs to treat a customer who's being understanding and being willing to accommodate their request in such a rude way. She could have just said "thank you for your understanding" and smiled and also be understanding for the customers situation and appreciative for their willingness to cooperate, and let me move to another table in 10min like any good restaurant would do, there was really no need for that rudeness.
Upon finishing my call I left feeling disturbed, and saw that there were other bigger tables with one person working too, and that there was nobody queueing or waiting...
Read moreI am super happy with Indigo Cafe, everything is just perfect. -The location, right at the center of Barcelona, but in a quiet, pedestrian street makes arriving and leaving Indigo already a nice comforting experience. -The staff is super friendly, always smiling. -The place is super clean, both in terms of hygiene (bathrooms included) as well as in atmosphere, I found it very helpful for mental clarity. -While it is not a coworking space, they seem to be very welcoming to people who come to work at their laptops and the system of ordering at the bar creates less distractions than someone coming to check whether you need something else. -The quality of the food is high standard, salmon eggs benedict and french toasts were delicious. And coffee is also great quality. -The choice of music is excellent. Good enough to keep you uptlifted while allowing you to focus in your workflow. The volume is high enough so you can appreciate it while not so loud that is overpowering. Very happy to be here as I write this! Thank you to all staff for investing such positive energy into...
Read moreI had a terrible experience at this café. Not only was the waiter incredibly rude, but he also refused to let me have my laptop on at the table I was sitting at. He said the table I was sitting at is not allowed to work, and demanded me to move to other tables, even though the place wasn’t crowded. Later, I turned around, there were people sitting excatly the same table as I was with the laptop on!!!???
Also, when I needed to charge my laptop I had to move the table closer to the wall, where I can plug the charger, he then came over and aggressively telling me that table costs €2000, if I break it I would have to pay for it!!!
His attitude was dismissive and condescending, and I felt completely unwelcome. It was uncomfortable and unprofessional, and I won’t be returning. There are plenty of other cafés in the area where I can enjoy my time without being...
