🌞 A Cozy Haven with Sunny Terrace - Bar Bauma Shines! 🌿🐾
After undergoing a rebranding, Bar Bauma now exudes a tighter and cozier vibe, to my taste. It's become a go-to spot for enjoying the sunny terrace, especially as spring unfolds. The welcoming staff and pet-friendly atmosphere add to its charm.
Let's dive into the food experience: The fricandó briox stole the show with its mouthwatering flavor, earning a solid 5 stars in my book. A delightful little snack that left a lasting impression.
The ham croqueta was expertly fried and a solid choice, although I couldn't help but wish for more vegetarian options to cater to all tastes. The fried squid was decent, but it didn't quite reach the same heights as the fricandó briox.
As for the brava potato, it didn't quite make it onto my favorites list. I'd recommend exploring other options on the menu.
On the bright side, the beer comes at a very fair price, making it a refreshing addition to any meal.
Overall, while I'd rate the food at 3 stars, the experience itself deserves a solid 4+. I'm eager to return during the summer months and explore more of the menu. With careful selection, I'm confident there are other culinary gems waiting to be discovered at...
Read moreWorst sangria of all Barcelona (I never taste a sangria as bad as this one). What wine are they using? The thing we use to strip furniture? The cheapest wine ever? I have never seen a Sangria with white sugar into it? Did they try to hide the disgusting taste of the cheapest wine? It seems they forgot that sugar doesn't melt in cold wine, so you just swallow lumps. Also, the bartender argue with me, saying all recipes are different. I think I drank 15 sangrias in Barcelona and probably more than 300 sangrias in my whole life. It doesn't taste like Bauma's sangria. It looks like they use the cheapest ingredients. I ask them to do another beverage or to cut the sangria with orange juice, but they refuse. I ask them what they prefer between losing 4€ or a bad google review (and with 4€, I probably paid the whole cheap wine bottle). They willingly chose the bad review. So here I am now, they don't care about their customers, they just want their money. Don't waste your money on this. Go to La Pepita close from Bauma. The tavern nest is also a really good place on la Bocaria Street. You'll...
Read moreI’m putting 2 stars because the waiter was very nice ! But we were so disappointed with the food. There are way better tapas place less expensive than this one. I should have checked the prices before going because the prices are way too high for the portion sizes. We ordered patatas bravas which we usually love almost everywhere and got served french fries (with the sauces). If they run out of potatoes (which can happen of course) they should mention it because no one said anything… and after checking the instagram, the patatas bravas pictured are nothing like what we got. The asparagus tasted like out of a can with mayo on top. I don’t know if the chef was different that night but I don’t understand all the comments here that say that it was delicious, sorry :( would...
