Bar Restaurant Guitó — Restaurant in Barcelona

We were very dissatisfied and disappointed with service and a food. Communication was extremely hard as waiters didn’t no Rey much to speak English it’s fine for us we are very easy going but no one asked us if we need menu in English, second order wise was absolutely disaster . We asked for drinks 3 times finally the third one we were lucky to get it. Sadly we asked for calamari with egg and truffle we’ve got only regular calamari and literally we were pointing in the menu with finger what we would like to have. Steak we asked for medium we’ve got overcooked. Barely you could chew and it was with hair. No one checked on us if all is good. And we weren’t treated as regular customer but more we felt as intruders. Yes we were tourists but one they ordered food and really would like to enjoy time with family. I could have gone my whole life without experiencing the food here. Unfortunately we were very tired and hungry after a big day of walking around sightseeing. We were just after some decent paella. There was only one option in the menu. It looked ok but was absolutely disgusting. The rice could have been cooked for a few more minutes. Not all the tapas that are on the menu are on display. I made enquires about what was on display and had a delicious chorizo. Had it not need for that I think I’d still be hungry. Smoking is still very much a thing here and sitting outside as a none smoker is impossible. The service was very good. Friendly and helpful. The bathrooms leave much to be desired. Will not be...

It was late night and I was starving after traveling all day. Most things are closed as it was a Monday night and I found bar restaurant Guido open through Google Maps. I was particularly drawn by the fact that I can get breakfast at 1:00 a.m. when I got there I settled on the specialty Guido sandwich and french fries. It did not disappoint!
