Here’s a 1 star rating with all the details (and whatever good points that Belushi does offer):
Belushi’s is a chain sports bar next door to a hostel, and management seems to be lacking or improperly pushed onto mediocre bartenders with terrible attitudes. Love sports bars, like hostels, don’t recommend this place.
Don’t go here to watch sports (unless you like the exact random soccer teams that these “bartenders” like). DEFINITELY don’t go here if you’re an F1 fan.
The good: The reservation emails are relatively quick and easy. The front door security was incredibly nice, as was the one British bartender. It’s mostly clean. The nachos were good.
The location: Two spaces. One front room with booths, the bar, and a few small tables. One back room with two large screens often playing the “major match” and high top tables.
There is no table service, everything has to be ordered with the bartenders.
The “major match” in the back room has terrible speakers. And the front room speakers are great, but are used for whatever the bartenders want to listen to.
Weeks before, we reserved a table specifically for F1, and the day before we asked if it was possible to be seated in a booth in the front room for F1. They said no problem and they were happy to have us.
When we got there, the building was at least 90% F1 fans. Most were in the back room and we were in the front room (but still mostly F1 fans).
All was great for the first 12 minutes of the race, until they decided to play random rock music- Korn- instead of the F1 race “to get ready for soccer”.
There were 5 people in the front room (maybe, at most) wanting to watch soccer (but really only the bartenders)- then they turned all the speakers in the front room to this very boring and very small soccer match (the day before was Man U and man city which we would have understood… but this was not that... for example, when a goal was scored- which we heard on the speakers- not one person made a noise?).
Several people asked to switch the sound back to Formula 1. Bartenders said “absolutely no”. They specifically told us that we asked for a table in the front room and it’s our fault (despite this not even being mentioned in the reservation correspondence).
During half time of soccer- we (and several other tables) politely asked that maybe just for these few minutes they put on F1…
THEY AGAIN PUT ON KORN… AND SHERYL CROW (and I, too, am very confused).
The bartenders were so rude it was almost funny. This is the first time in my life I haven’t tipped!
We would have loved to have spent more money here (and actually enjoyed watching Formula One) but decided to stop drinking at...

I strongly disagree with the way you’re trying to shift the entire blame on me while ignoring the violent behavior of your security guard.
Let me clarify once again: My emotional reaction came only after your security guard grabbed me physically without my consent. That’s when I instinctively defended myself — yes, I bit him, because no one has the right to use force on me, especially when I wasn't being violent or aggressive in the first place. I will always put myself first amd I will always defend MYSELF.
I never insulted anyone's nationality — I simply described the guard to help identify who he was. What truly escalated the situation was the unjustified aggression and power abuse from your staff, not my behavior.
I came to your bar to enjoy my time with friends, not to be treated like a threat. Your team failed to handle the situation professionally, and instead used physical force, which is completely unacceptable. Your security could have calmly talked to me, offered me a plastic cup in a respectful way (not just once with an attitude), and none of this would have happened.
Also, let’s be honest — trying to forcefully remove someone from the bar just because they stepped outside with a glass for 5 seconds is completely unreasonable. Is that really something that requires physical intervention? It’s shocking that instead of resolving the situation with a simple conversation - just give me plastic cup and leave me alone, your team chose aggression. That’s not how hospitality should work.
Again, I ask you to reflect seriously on how your staff treat women, especially when physical power is involved. I did not deserve to be touched, grabbed, or dragged out. And I absolutely stand by my right to defend myself when someone...
Read moreI had a very uncomfortable and inappropriate experience with one of the security staff at this place. (he is from georgia). I wasn’t drunk, I was fully aware of the situation, but the way I was treated was aggressive and disrespectful.
Instead of offering a simple solution (like a plastic cup), the security guard behaved rudely and physically tried to remove me from the venue. I did not act aggressively, I was calm, and the situation escalated only because of the staff’s unacceptable behavior.
I still feel shaken by how he handled me — this level of physical contact was absolutely unnecessary. No woman should ever feel powerless or mistreated in a public space like this.
The drinks were good, but the behavior of certain workers (especially this particular security guard) completely ruined the experience. I hope the management takes this seriously and improves the training and selection of their staff. I will never come back to this place. Just imagine, I'm half the size of these workers, I didn't break anything, I didn't bother others, and I behaved appropriately, but because of security guy who doesn’t like that I wanted to go outside with a drink started to act aggressively to me and other staff was on his side. At these place there is no: The client is always right, they don’t care about...
