🥩 Brabo: A Carnivore's Paradise with a Hefty Price Tag 🍽️
After having Brabo bookmarked for ages, I finally made my way to this offshoot of the world-famous Sartoria Panatieri pizzeria. The experience? Just as I expected - a meat lover's haven with a cozy ambiance and friendly service, but be prepared for the bill!
Our culinary journey kicked off with their bread and smoked butter - a clear nod to their pizza-making roots, but elevated to new heights. It set the bar sky-high for what was to come.
The brioche? Spectacular! A tiny morsel at 10€, but trust me, it's a must-try indulgence.
Now, the ravioli didn't quite hit the mark. At 20€ for a single piece, I was hoping for a more punchy flavor profile.
But oh, the cured "vaca vella" starter! Incredible doesn't even begin to describe it.
While I couldn't tackle their minimum 600g steak solo (the price was as weighty as the portion), the aroma wafting from nearby tables was intoxicating. Diners around us seemed more than satisfied with their meaty feasts.
Pro tip: Bring a friend or two to share the meat-centric delights. That's what Brabo is all about - a carnivore's playground to be enjoyed in good company.

Read moreLunch with a friend Setting - nice and welcoming service - pretty good Food - We had: The “pate de campagne” poorly executed, too dry, taste of liver was too strong Brioche with gambas tartar and caviar - best dish of the lunch perfectly executed but rather small portion empanadas con rabo and truffles - good but nothing special the truffles are overpowered by the rabo therefore do not bring anything to the dish lomo bajo - coocking of the meat was good but the meat itself was hard and lacking of fat to give it more flavor at 110€ a kg this is not acceptable especially when the side are charged extra sides - aligot and fries were both of poor quality as poorly executed Overall a very poor culinary experience with a somewhat pretentious menu that does not deliver at all. Prices are absolutely disproportionate for the quality of the food. 140€ for 2 with no wine… Will not go again obviously and I strongly...
Read moreHad dinner with a colleague yesterday and it was a very enjoyable experience. I especially recommend their sweetbreads. Whe I see sweetbreads on the menu, I always order it, and I've had many over the years, including in Argentina and New York. Brabo's version is the best I've ever had. Pate de campagne with their specialty bread is also worth a try. Good artisanal beer. Service friendly and efficient. Only regret is they didn't have the lamb shoulder that evening, so we ordered duck breast instead, which was also very nice. A bit on the pricey side, but very good for a special occasion....
