I've heard so many good reviews, but my experience was not so satisfying. The food is really nice - different, excellent options to choose, tasty and nice. But the service is awful. One waiter does not see and understand what other is doing and it come to an absurd. First, it was the fastest lunch I've ever had in Barna. I was alone, had nobody to chat and spend more time while eating, but even for a sole visitor I felt that the waiters are in an awful hurry and like they have some KPI to serve you and say goodbye in 30min. I did not have any time to enjoy the food, the waiters are "hunting" your plate to be taken. I really like the olives and wanted to finish those, so I put this small plate in front of me and I had a fork in my hand. The waiter comes, takes it away in front of my nose. When she saw that I am confused, she asks "do you want to finish the olives?!", but it's already put into dirty plates. Then she makes a perfect correction of her mistakes - she brings me a new plate full of olives and I thought at this moment "ok, it is not actually so bad", but I had 3 seconds to think about this, second waiter passes by and takes the plate with these new olives so fast I even have no chance to stop her. This moment was ridiculously bad. I’ve heard some compliments on the dessert – how it is being served to your table, with different toppings they offer etc. Nothing. Just a simple cup of crema catalana with no topping or kind of special serving. All in all I do not understand the concept. Tras ver en la cristalera exterior que el menú son 18€ (sin bebida incluida, ni café) decidimos entrar para probarlo. Si bien es cierto que la comida estaba buena, la misma se servía en raciones escasas, lo cual hacía que te acabases quedando con hambre.
La incidencia vino cuando en el ticket vimos que nos cobraron 19,80€ por el menú. A la hora de reclamarlo, nos comentaron que era el suplemento de terraza, pero el mismo no se mencionaba ni en la carta, ni en la cristalera de fuera donde tienen marcado el menú y desde el restaurante se alegaba que "ellos pagan terraza y por ende nos la tienen que facturar".
Me parece un gesto muy feo por parte de un local que está cobrando un menú por ese precio, tratar de derivar el coste de la terraza a sus clientes sin siquiera avisar para poder decidir. Adicionalmente, tanto la mujer que estaba en barra, como la que estaba en recepción, nos atendieron con mala cara cuando fuimos a reclamar, negándose en una primera instancia a devolver el dinero y volver a realizar el pago conforme estipulado.
Finalmente, nos devolvieron el dinero y ajustaron al importe correcto tras insistir, pero nos ha quedado claro que ni nosotros, ni ningún compañero de nuestra empresa volverá a asistir a este restaurante.
