🙅♂️Petty service. Two of us stopped in for Menu del Dia. We weren’t supper hungry, so decided to share one order, which we confirmed with the waitress while ordering that it was ok. After bringing out our drinks, they then decided to alert us that it was in fact not ok to share. To which we replied we were happy to leave, but they reversed again and said ok. Shortly after they took away all the silverware and napkins, only to return one of each to the table 😂. Upon paying for the bill the manager tried to charge us non menu of the day prices for the items and claimed it was a “local law” to which she later rephrased to “…of this location”. We have lived here for nearly a year and never had any issues sharing anywhere else in Barcelona. I would understand if we were occupying a potential paying customer’s seat; but it was both a table that could not be shared and from the time we entered to when we left, they had at max 7 customers out of a place that could seat 75+. Sorry we tried a new local spot. Will return to our go to pizza places around...
Read moreWe visited this pizza place in Barcelona last night and unfortunately had a pretty disappointing experience. We initially wanted to sit outside, but since all the tables were full, we decided to head inside. When we got in, the whole situation turned into a bit of a cliché you’d see in a movie. Despite the room being almost entirely empty, with plenty of free tables (around 7), the waiter told us there was only one table left and placed us right next to the toilet. It was honestly kind of ridiculous and felt like one of those stereotypical bad restaurant moments.
We actually had to point out to another waitress that there were many empty tables and ask if we could move, which they finally allowed. The whole thing made us pretty uncomfortable and we ended up leaving because it just felt like we weren’t welcome or were being treated strangely. Hopefully they can improve how they handle their seating arrangements...
Read moreThe pizza was amazing here! I chose the Jerry Tometo and it was surprisingly good! You tasted a lot of flavours even though there’s a lot of tomatoes on it! As dessert , I chose the tiramisu which was good as well!!
The only negative thing is that we didn’t feel welcome. We were English speaking guests and had the impression from the man at the front desk that we were not welcome as we didn’t have a reservation. He eventually got us a table right next to the front desk, but he gave us the impression that he was very annoyed by it/us. Because of that, I felt very rushed and couldn’t really enjoy the atmosphere and the flavours of the pizza. However, we were served by a very friendly waiter who gave us a warm welcome. Unfortunately I didn’t get his name, but big...
