Can vilamarí — Restaurant in Barcelona

If you came to visit Barcelona the first time. I highly recommend to visit Can Vilamarí, the owner speaks English and he will try to answer all your questions about the restaurant. He is one of the kindest person we have ever met in Europe. ☺️

Pretty much all of their food is perfect. The owner opened the restaurant with his wife and his cousin from central America. Their Spanish Tapas are good, Tortilla and mejillone is my personal favourite. And the best of the restaurant is their main course paella, their paella is the best I have ever had in Spain, and definitely the best I have ever had in my life. I have ordered Arroz de Negro and Paella de Pollo, both of them are so delicious, I want to kiss the chef. And if you're not sure what to order, the owner will explain everything to you with patient, so you will fully understand what you want before ordering.

We have visited Barcelona for 3 days, and we visit Can Vilamarí 3 days in a row. Being here watching Europe cup with beer and eating delicious food, and chat with the owner is the best way to experience the night life of Barcelona. The beer is amazing, I love Turia and Galicia, both of them are local Spanish brand, selected by the owner. When we drinking it, the owner even came here to explain where is the origin of the beer, at the moment I can see that, this man has a huge passion about his food and his restaurant, in this case, I cannot imagine any of the food of Can Vilamarí gone wrong!!!

At the last day of visiting Barcelona, we know that maybe we cannot see each other again, so we took a picture with the owner and say goodbye to him, and had our last drink together.

If any of my friend visit Barcelona in the future, I will definitely recommend to visit Can Vilamarí. And if I came to Barcelona again, I will definitely visit this place...

This restaurant came highly recommended by my friend’s parents, who stumbled upon this joint and ate here every night they were in Barcelona! The squid ink paella was among the best we’d tried and the tapas were all solid, well-flavored and fried to perfection. We realized halfway through our meal that the good food was half the reason for the glowing recommending, but the other half was really because of Ani, who runs the show and told us he never closes shop if someone wants to dine there, even if it’s right before closing. He makes everyone feel like family and gifts you an aperitif after the meal. Service like this is rare to find in cities that are so heavily influenced and populated by tourism. It is understandable why restaurant staff can be so overwhelmed by tourists, but we really felt like we were welcomed and taken care of, like family. Ok so we ended here cause front desk agent told us would be open at the time (10PM - 11PM) and sure enough was open… our server Ruben was amazing and clearly explained everything. We had the Rib Eye which was really good!

Well since food and staff were amazing we went back the last night of our trip again this time we had the Burrata Salad and the Solomillo - get that one… OMG was SOOOOO GOOOD!

Had some wine Ruben recommended that went great with the steak!

Nit sure when Ill be back in Barcelone but 100% will make the time to have dinner again!
