Carmela — Restaurant in Barcelona

Stumbled across this restaurant on our first night in Barcelona and had some of the best food we have ever had in our entire lives. The pork cheek was so tender and the flavours were unique and went really well together. My friend ordered the beef cannelloni which was really light and she said it "melted in her mouth". The lady that served us was very kind and we had a great first night in Barcelona thanks to this place.

It was so good that I had to return the next day. This time I tried the Chicken Brioche which was probably one of the best sandwiches I have ever tried. It was filled with lots of chicken and avocado and I really felt like I got my moneys worth.

Because we loved Carmela so much, we had to visit on our last day as well. This time we went for brunch and we tried the Eggs Benedict and the Veggie Avocado toast. Both meals were incredibly delicious and we really enjoyed them. The service was impeccable, once again. They guy serving us was really friendly and all the staff, in fact, were really kind and lovely. They even gave us our mimosas on the house. We wanted to visit one more time at night for dessert before we went left, but sadly did not have the time.

Overall this restaurant was just perfect and I can't wait to come back to Barcelona just to eat here again. Sad we didn't get to say goodbye, but I will definitely be...

Amazing food, it was 4 days only I stayed in Barcelona, I went there twice, my favourite dish was the burrata with pesto cause, really appetising with the sweetness and the fresh smell of the pesto. The other must go dish for me is the Duck Bikini, soft brioche, crispy outside, really decent seasoning for the duck meat. I am impressed with everything here. The food tastes incredible and is presented beautifully, almost at the level of a Michelin star restaurant. The service from the waiter was also wonderful – she is very caring and friendly. During our 6-day visit in Barcelona, I dined at the restaurant twice because of how amazing everything was.
