The decor here is great. It really feels like a high class restaurant. The menu has a good variety of food for a very reasonable price. The staff here could really improve though. I asked if the gyozas with fried and crunchy and she said YES crunchy. They were steamed and pan fried for 1 second so nothing crunchy. (I asked because I get goosebumps from eating the steamed ones due to the texture.) If I known I would have ordered one of the many other nice looking starters. Not even the strawberries and the strawberry jam on the plate could hide the fact it’s pretty tasteless. The Gazpacho was great and looked very presentable. Its came with some options to add to it. Then the main: the tartare got served when we were still having our starter. We had asked if the steak tartare was handcut with knives. The lady definitely said it’s cut with knives. This turned out to be untrue. Definitely made with a blender. Steak tartare fans wil know the difference. My plate came 5 minutes later to the table. The steak was great just a bit over salted and dry. The wine was great so easy to wash away but would be great to have had a bit of sauce option to tone down the salt slighly. No waiter to ask though. The desserts are the showstopper here. Love the reuse of the crème de catalán on this ‘Torijo’. It’s was great! Super big as-well so easy to share with 2. Overall a restaurant with great prices in a super location but I rather pay a bit more and have service that listens and...
Read moreNOT a good experience at all. I'm not one to be particular about etiquette but this experience was so poor that I felt compelled to review it. Firstly, we found a literal cockroach egg sac (as pictured below) in the burger... When we raised it to the manager, she completely denied it and said that it was a piece of charred bread. Now lemme ask the audience..look at the photo and tell me how the ridges on the sac and two symmetrical halves are mistakable for that. I was angrier at the lack of accountability than the egg sac we found. The waitress was also not very polite and there was confusion with the serving of orders on several courses. When plates were taken away for the next course, our cutlery was taken with them and not replaced even when the next order was served. When we requested for cutlery, the waitress brought only one for the person who asked each time and seemed frustrated to keep returning to bring more cutlery individually each time. We were told that a certain wine was included in the set menu but then were charged, before we rectified it, separately, along with all our other sodas that were supposed to be included. Other than that food was decent. But it was a stressful...
Read moreThe restaurant its self was nice looking and in a centrical area although kind of hidden, which was nice. But the food was very disappointing. We ordered a menu of the day, the starter - artichokes with serrano ham - was very bland and had an odd texture for this kind of dish; the main course - grilled sea bass with potatoes - was so oily I was put off to even finish it (which is nothing like me), and again the fish was lacking flavour too. The only thing that I enjoyed was the dessert, satisfying chocolate tart. Nothing special, but at least it gave me a smile after the other dishes.
Also, the service wasn’t great as we were rushed into ordering and the waitress seemed very blunt and careless. The lady at the front desk was quite nice though.
I wouldn’t recommend going unless I was with a large group of people and was stuck on...
