Brunch & Cake — Restaurant in Barcelona

We had brunch on a Wednesday. Made it in before the crowd. We ordered the pear pancakes (mermaid theme) and the carbonara croissant dish. They added berries to the pancakes after we asked them not to (allergy) and then forgot the chocolate sauce request. I had to order another dish (originally planning on sharing the pancakes with my daughter) and that took about 15-20min. When the avocado eggs bene arrived i was quickly disappointed by the bland taste. It was a bagel instead of an English muffin and you couldn’t taste the sauce. So it was literally a plain bagel with a poached egg and avocado. No flavor at all. It was unfortunate because my husband said the pancakes were delicious and I tried his carbonara dish and that was also really great. We’ll give them another try but will stay away from the...

The food is amazing, the service is good and the place is very nice.

We ordered the nice and clean salad which is aptly named. Very fresh ingredients and a recipe that is well executed and delivers on its name. We also had a side of scrambled eggs which were well prepared. My daughter ordered one of the bowls which was good and very generous portion. My wife had an avocado toast with gluten free bread. My other daugher had the bagel with egg and ham and it was very good. The coffee was also good with milk alternatives available.

The service was very good as we were initially seated in a small table for the 4 of us but as soon as one of the larger tables was free, the waiter was very efficient in moving us over.

Brunch & Cake is a must-visit for brunch lovers in Barcelona. The presentation is stunning — every dish looks like a floral artwork, full of color and care.

We had a delicious avocado toast (fresh, creamy, beautifully served), and the eggs Benedict with salmon and truffle — though we honestly didn’t taste much truffle, it was still rich and satisfying.

The real star was the banana & pear pancakes with coconut flakes and chocolate — pure magic. Soft, sweet, and comforting — one of the best brunch desserts I’ve had.

Only disappointment? The golden coffee. It looked cool, but tasted like a turmeric experiment gone wrong 🤷🏻‍♀️
