Casa Leopoldo — Restaurant in Barcelona

We just returned from a 7-day cruise through Marseille, Genoa, Naples, Messina, and Malta, departing from and returning to Barcelona. On our final day with a layover in Barcelona, our hotel recommended Casa Leopoldo—and it turned out to be the best meal of the entire trip (and that’s saying a lot, because we had some excellent meals along the way!).

We ordered sangria, octopus, ox tail croquettes, noodle paella, and for dessert the five-experience chocolate dessert and the cheesecake. Every dish was absolutely delicious—perfectly prepared, generous portions, and beautifully presented.

The service was equally impressive: warm, friendly, and attentive without ever feeling rushed. Prices were very reasonable considering the outstanding quality and portion sizes.

Great food and service. My family ate the beef tartar appetizer, and duck breast, oxtail, squid, and steak entrees. All were delicious and well prepared. Entertainment was great, they had a guy playing guitar and singing (mostly) American tunes during our meal. Very pretty restaurant in a lovely location. We came on the first and last days of our vacation and tried different food options all of which were SO delicious. We had Jack as a server both days and not only was he very nice and personable, but also gave great recommendations. Nick was another one of our servers and was also extremely helpful and very nice.
