I came here for my birthday as read it was the best in BCN.. I’ve tried ALOT of curry houses as I am from the UK originally and we have the best in terms of spice and affordability.. I loved the decor and the waitress was wonderful!!!. The food was incredibly tasty, the spices were great and a lot more spicy then other places here (they don’t do spice here unfortunately as the locals aren’t keen) I gave a lower score purely on the choice on the menu.. it was very limited and our favourite dish (Palak paneer) wasn’t on the menu … the other downside which wasn’t the restaurants fault but there was a girl sat directly behind us and she had her phone on super loud and was scrolling through her TikTok 😖😖😖 not the fault of the restaurant but it still wasn’t the ‘vibe’ we wanted on my birthday… the cost is a little more on the expensive side , but the quality is top notch so it’s worth it.. 4/5… would be a 5 if they had just a few more...
Read moreTried this place out for the first time and we had the ‘Menu del Día’ - somewhat pricy for what you get and the quantities were not enough for a hungry Indian like me! (I did ask for more of their delicious daal and they were kind enough to give me a refill).
The acoustics and the closeness of all the tables meant it got noisy as the place filled up with lunchers, so we had our desserts outside, where there was plenty of space.
Staff were very cool and we did feel ‘at home’ so to speak as it was an informal (yet professional and courteous) atmosphere and any time we asked for something, it was given without fuss or debate. (Like the extra daal and moving to the terrace) - That’s a plus for me at any restaurant and it’s what will bring me back…but I’ll be ordering from the main menu.
Peaked into the kitchen area for a great shot of that...
Read moreCasa Masala is excellent. I've eaten amazing Indian food all over the world, from Bradford to Birmingham and Bombay. It's a real skill to innovate with Indian food with success. I loved everything about this place; the decor, the super friendly service, the creative menu and the menu del dia which was incredible value for top quality food. The pakora and puri were perfectly spiced and textured, the kofta sauce was rich and spicy, freshly cooked tandoori naan, dhal and rice - all served in an authentic thali tray. So good for only 13.50euros. We ordered extra Bombay Bomba and were happy we did. A delicious marriage of the Catalan croqueta with delicate Indian flavours. I could have eaten a whole plate of them! I will return and recommend Casa...
