As a seasoned reviewer, I pride myself on delivering unbiased and insightful critiques of culinary establishments. However, in the case of this Michelin-starred restaurant, my experience was so utterly perplexing that it calls for a touch of sardonic commentary.
The tale begins with an early reservation secured through Tripadvisor's The Fork service, promising a delectable 50% discount. As the anticipated date arrived, I eagerly checked my reservation confirmation, only to be greeted by the shocking news that the establishment had, without prior notice or explanation, summarily revoked my booking.
Dismayed and confused, I contacted The Fork, only to be met with the baffling assertion that my reservation had been canceled at my request. This perplexing turn of events, coupled with the restaurant's inexplicable silence, left me utterly bewildered.
Undeterred, I dispatched a flurry of emails to the restaurant, hoping to unravel the mystery behind this baffling decision. I also reached out via Instagram and the establishment's website, but my pleas for clarification fell on deaf ears.
Despite my persistence, the restaurant remained steadfast in its silence, leaving me with a reservation gone awry and a 50% discount forever out of reach. To add insult to injury, I was offered the opportunity to reschedule my reservation, but at full price, rendering the entire affair pointless.
This Michelin-listed establishment's treatment of a prospective customer raises serious questions about their customer service ethos. Canceling a reservation without prior notification, particularly one secured well in advance and promising a substantial discount, is akin to culinary malpractice.
I urge the Michelin Guide to investigate this matter, ensuring that the standards set for their accolades are upheld. The restaurant's actions not only reflect poorly on their culinary prowess but also cast a shadow over the Michelin Guide's reputation for discerning taste.
While I have no personal experience with the restaurant's cuisine, my encounter with their customer service has left me with a profound sense of disillusionment. Perhaps this is a solitary incident, an aberration in an otherwise stellar dining experience. However, the lack of transparency and accountability displayed by the establishment leaves me questioning whether this is merely a one-off.
For those seeking a truly memorable and satisfying culinary experience, I would urge them to steer clear of this establishment until they demonstrate a commitment to treating their customers with the respect...
Read moreI recently visited Deliri, a restaurant in Barcelona, with a group of five people on a Saturday evening. While I had heard good things about this place, our overall experience was quite disappointing.
The food itself was decent, but considering the price we paid, we expected more in terms of taste. The presentation was good. The portion sizes were quite small, and the plates were priced relatively high. Additionally, the staff didn't clear our plates or cutlery between dishes.
As for the atmosphere, Deliri is a small, intimate space with a limited number of tables. However, the air conditioning was too cold, and despite telling the staff two or three times, it was not adjusted, making the experience uncomfortable. Moreover, the open door contributed to the chilly atmosphere. The dishes were brought out relatively quickly, without any breaks, which didn't allow for a leisurely dining experience.
The service in general was friendly, but not particularly engaging or attentive to our needs. The staff's language skills were inadequate, as they had difficulty understanding English. This created confusion and miscommunication. Moreover, the staff seemed to lack proper training. For instance, they cleared our dishes while some of us were still eating, and our waiter smashed a wine glass on the table. Accidents happen, but I have never witnessed this before in a restaurant setting.
The wine menu was limited, and they didn't have two reasonably priced red wines from the list, leaving us with only one or two affordable options. Other wines were priced at €100 and above, which was disappointing for those of us who wanted a more moderately priced wine.
Lastly, our waiter didn't follow standard wine-serving protocol, such as allowing us to taste the wine before pouring it for the whole table. These oversights, along with the other issues mentioned, made for a subpar dining experience.
Unfortunately, the value for money at Deliri is too low. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant for a special night out or a group dinner. There are many other options in Barcelona that will offer a better dining experience for the same or a...

Great attention from waiters and sommelier all professional and not too much but very attentive.
