Dux Gin & Cocktail Bar Barcelona — Restaurant in Barcelona

This is by far the best bar i have been to in barcelona! Forget paradiso, forget monk and forget any other bar, if you want an amazing cocktail this is where you should go!

Let me tell you about the amazing service and drinks we had here, First we were very kindly greeted and got brought to our table, we then got an explenation of the menu and could ask questions.

We then saw our cocktails being made with precision and eye for detail! We had amazing drinks and the server would regularly check in on us to see if we needed anything.

We ended up having 3 rounds of drinks. The most fun thing on the menu is in my opinion the option for a custom cocktail, you simply tell your likes and dislikes to your server and they will let the bartender make you an amazing custom cocktail!

Besides cocktails the bar also serves a in house made beer that is infused with gin and it was to die for!! I normaly dont love beer or gin but this combination was heavenly!

In the first round we got the baby groot cocktail and the blind aviator

In the second round we got the citrus gaudi and a custom cocktail.

And in the last round we got a gin infused beer and another custom cocktail.

We had an amazing night and would defenitly come back here again!

Even the experience painted by travel vloggers who shared their visits on YouTube could not prepare me for my night out at Dux - in person.

Perhaps it was the limited scope of the vloggers lens that didn’t fully capture the entire adorable space of Dux. To be fair, I don’t want to spoil the experience for you either! I think it’s better you only concern yourself with the importance stuff: the hospitable warm welcome, cozy atmosphere, and the fine craft cocktails where gin is supreme.

On this visit, we enjoyed Dux’s Cardamomo & Old Apoteke (Aged Negroni). While these were the only drinks we had and our first drinks ever at Dux - they will not be our last. We’ve become BIG gin fans and in our recent travels explored a variety in Amsterdam and now Spain. The infused botanicals of Dux’s gin in the Cardamomo balanced the flavors making the beverage smooth and refreshing. While the dressing and presentation of the Old Negroni felt proper, very unique and highly enjoyable.

Our service, and our server made us feel at home. Seated by the front window, fireplace adjacent was an enjoyable way to take in some people watching while absorbing the ambiance of Dux.

I cannot wait for the next opportunity to return and enjoy more of Dux menu! Thank you for the hospitality and warm welcome of the Dux staff on the Thursday of...

This is not a cocktail but an artificial fruit juice bar. I sent the first cocktail back because it was so sweet I almost got diabetes. The second one was just as bad. You couldn’t taste anything but the sugar. It is beyond me how this place has the rating it does: either no one knows what a good cocktail is or they buy reviews.

We weren’t a group, we did not order several rounds of drinks, nor were any of us rude or annoyed or had an attitude upon entry. We had only one drink each that none of us finished because they were bad cocktails and then we left. You did offer to replace my drink after I politely asked but the second one was just as sweet even though I said I don’t like sweet cocktails but would like a dry one. So clearly you’re not actually mixing drinks according to clearly stated preferences.

Good mixology is a skill that I am willing to spend a lot of money for. This is not what you provide. That’s fine. You can still run a fun bar. But if anyone wants to have a good cocktail in Barcelona, they should...
