Such a great find nearby Sagrada Família! As others stated, definitely /not/ tourist trap and their pricing was very fair. The menu clearly states that paella pricing is per a person with a 2 person minimum order. And it is common in Spain/EU to have a small dine-in fee of 1 to 3 euro per person, which is also clearly written in the menu. Here it was only 1 euro/person.
Catalan staples were all on point— potato bravas, padron green peppers, bread w/ tomato and olive oil, and Iberian ham. All delish! The garden mix salad had an amazing dressing and olives were complimentary. The vegetarian in our group was thrilled with the quality and options.
By far the best paella we had all trip, rice was cooked well with the seafood so that each bite was full of deep flavor and the texture was perfect (not too underdone nor mushy). Octopus was also perfectly cooked and came with a delicious potato puree.
Fresh OJ, sparkling cava sangria, and cappuccinos were all perfection. They also had oat milk for all the non dairy friends.
Don’t miss the beautiful view of Sagrada Familía from the second floor. Really pretty framing amongst the greenery of the garden. Also check out the adorable kitty art on the walls.
Clean bathrooms and fantastic service, English friendly! Thank you for a wonderful afternoon and...
Read moreAfter visiting the Sagrada Familia, we were wary of falling into a tourist trap, but this restaurant was a true hidden gem and a 100% recommendation! The experience was wonderful from start to finish. We started with the delicious "huevos revueltos" (scrambled eggs) and the amazing "coca de pan" (flatbread). The "crema catalana" was so divine that we devoured it before we could even take a picture! Our experience was so good that we returned the next day with two friends after a disappointing meal at a "tourist trap" restaurant. We wanted to share the amazing desserts, and we ended up trying almost the entire dessert menu! The service was exceptional, with Victory and Vanessa creating a fantastic atmosphere and surprising us with a wonderful Cava Sangria. We had so much fun that we stayed until closing time! We were so impressed that we returned on the third day to try the paella, which was absolutely delicious, as was the succulent "solomillo" (sirloin steak). The service was consistently outstanding - Vanessa and Vitor. This restaurant exceeded all our expectations, and we can't wait to return. It's a must-try for anyone visiting the Sagrada Familia area! 100%...
Read moreWonderful and accommodating site near Sagrada Familia where we grabbed a quick bite while waiting for our tour reservation. Albeit busy, this modestly priced restaurant provides Catalan cuisine for the prospecting foodie tourist. Our server Victor was not only welcoming but was prompt and genuinely eager to sit our party of five, on the second floor small dining room with a view of the Sagrada Familia from the front entry park . Food was of higher quality and fresh; our croquettes and Cod fritters were delivered hot and well seasoned; the Paella Taste de Mariano had only the freshest seafood and well executed rice texture; the Fricando al Vermut was tender and well seasoned and piping hot on delivery. The portions were generous enough to allow tasting with our large party. Strongly recommend this quaint restaurant to fellow tourists looking to explore...
