Having dined in some of the best restaurants in Dubai and around Europe, I hope people will find this review helpful, since the ones I read before didn’t do it justice entirely although they were 5 stars.
This is the most incredibly amazing place where one can have dinner in Barcelona, especially couples on vacation. To start with, it’s literally across the street from Sagrada Familia, so you have perfect views of the edifice, just slightly masked by trees, lovely atmosphere, day or night.
The staff are impeccably courteous and attentive, but also very informative and prompt. Not too much service overkill, but definitely not ignorant. Just the right balance, and they all speak good English - which is not a guarantee in Barcelona.
The wifi is consistent and quite stable, also something not guaranteed normally in Barcelona; I get the ‘focus on your food’ approach of the city, but sometimes it’s annoying not to have wifi - so green points here.
I might be mistaken but I think it’s a family owned place. In any case, the should offer an award to their chef. We have had a total of 6 dishes between the two of us, all impeccably cooked and presented.
The truffle and cheese Ravioli was very well executed and the portion size just right, you could definitely feel the truffle kick surrounded by the flavorful cheese and white sauce.
Although it’s not a steakhouse, not by far, we had one of the best antrecotes ever. Very correctly cooked, with a hint of smokiness to make it more authentic, served with a well balancing salad and patatas bravas. They were very kind and helpful with the wine list, helping us select the best wine to pair both the steak and Ravioli, plus all the other courses we had.
I wrapped it up with a correctly made Tiramisu which balanced my meal’s acidity levels well; it was not too thick, but not too creamy, either - hence I would also rate it 10/10. No exaggeration; it’s really amazing.
I think price-wise it was underpriced, considering the location, the food and wine quality, service level and everything else that goes into the experience of dining at Tuscania. We would have expected to pay more, but tipped accordingly.
To conclude, anyone who is visiting Barcelona (or even living there) and not dining at Tuscania, is missing out on an exceptionally great culinary and...
Read moreTo anyone wanting to go here… DO NOT HESITATE! I absolutely adore this place for multiple reasons. We came in early and ordered our food but we had the option of picking it up later on which was incredibly convenient. Furthermore, the service and friendliness from the staff was honestly amazing, to the point that it’s actually an experience I cherish. I was able to converse with them in Spanish as it’s a language I am aiming to be fluent in, and the support and encouragement I received has impacted me so much! This place goes beyond the amazing food. They really do care for the customers and are attentive. We got Paella and Tapas (which were really good!) if you get tapas I 100% recommend the patatas bravas. There were also vegetarian options so genuinely the restaurant caters to all. It’s near the beautiful Sagrada familia so not only are the views great but they are aware of the high tourist population so they also speak English which is helpful for those who can’t speak Spanish. Online there’s also an English menu too. Overall I loved it and if the Tuscania staff are reading this, I will be...
Read moreReally amazing dinner at Tuscania!! Not only locally/family owned (incredible in such an area) but absolutely delicious. They combine Italian and Spanish, which honestly makes it so easy to find something that can make everyone happy for dinner. Also menu has really clear ALLERGY notifications. Loved this. We have an extreme nut allergy in our family so this is always so relieving to see!
Wine was also incredible & service was top notch. Everyone was very attentive, made great recommendations, and so welcoming.
After a day with crowds and chaos (visiting La Sagrada Familia and the other sites) it was really a relaxing, cozy atmosphere to decompress.
Highly recommend!
We ordered (5 hungry Americans): -seafood paella -pane con tomate -spinach tortellini (I will dream of this!!) -caprese salad (best mozzarella in the city) -patatas bravas -meatballs
And honestly we should have had a pizza too
Will be back anytime I’m...
