This place won me over. I tried going to La Pubilla my second night in town, but was told I would need a reservation. They sent me packing for Extra and I was kinda disappointed. That ended when I arrived.
Mark and Ricardo, server/wine enthusiast and cook respectively, were my new best friends by the end of the trip. After my first visit, I came back 2 other times. The food was incredible and the wine kept flowing.
This is a great place for a solo traveler or even a few people. It helps to speak Catalan or Spanish as this truly feels like the neighborhood's kitchen.

They have a great indipendent local wines choices as well avermouth and draft beers.
We had "pez mantequilla" carpaccio which was a more aromatic style of a chevice, steak tartare on focaccia with black truffle oil, strawberry salad with "mato" and same pinchos of "Gilda's" (anchovies, olives and green peppers)

This creates a great vibes!
It is definitely in my must places to pop by when in Barcelona, from now on.

However, their other tapas were average as their flavors were pretty basic although they had unique combinations. Their scallop surf and turf was a bit disappointing as the scallop was overcooked.
Service: Very kind and attentive staff. Service can be a bit slow as it gets pretty busy even though it’s a very small place.
Atmosphere: Very small local tapas bar. I would suggest getting there on the earlier side as it gets...
