Everybody who knows me, knows that 🇮🇹 is the last type of restaurant I would ever choose. Scratch that, 🇫🇷 is my last option (yeah, I know I'm 🇫🇷). There are 2 reasons why I'm not too fond of 🇮🇹 cuisine: 🧀 (and dairy in general) and 🍄. I just can't eat 🧀 and I don't like 🍄. Apart from that, I actually love 🇮🇹 food. But on the menu of an 🇮🇹 restaurant, I don't have too many options... and I actually remember a night at a restaurant in 🇮🇹 when I simply could not order. 😱 A while ago, my wife and my son went to the opera with my son's friends and their parents. I had errands to run so I skipped the opera part but I joined them for lunch. But of course, in these conditions, I couldn't pick the restaurant myself, and they let the kids choose 🍕... Why do kids always wanna eat 🍕? So we went to Frankie Gallo Cha Cha Cha, which is located near the opera house. I liked the vibe of the place, rather industrial and dark, but not too much. 👍 On their menu I had a few options to choose from, which is cool, and I picked the 🍕 puttanesca. I know it's not traditional, but if it works with 🍝, why wouldn't it work with 🍕. And it was pretty good. The dough was fine, not too thin (I don't like crunchy 🍕), and the toppings were good and abundant, with anchovies all over the 🍕. About the dough, though, it could have been more supple, elastic. What's great when I go to 🇮🇹 restaurants is that my favorite type of 🍕 usually is the cheapest one on the menu. And that was again the case that day, so my 🍕 cost me €11.50. Anyway, I think the most expensive 🍕 cost something like €18, not too expensive either, and they're big (I did finish mine, but most of the other guests did not). Of course, in 🇮🇹, 🍕 is even cheaper but "when NOT in Rome..." 😜 The service was a bit slow and overall chaotic. Overall we had a nice time... and it would have been even better if the kids hadn't been fighting all the time... but I guess kids will be kids... 🤷‍♂️

Quality & taste: 7/10 Quantities: 10/10 Atmosphere: 8/10 Originality: 7/10 Ratio price / quality: 8/10 Service: 6/10 How I felt...

We were at this restaurant last night. Food was ok, just a pizza (nothing too special) and a nice ambience. The waiters that helped us were nice, the manager should maybe do some more research about, what it means to be a manager😑 she wasn't nice and understanding at all, she was even a bit rude and not able to properly manage the situation. At the end she just walked away, without really finding a solution, or giving us a real explanation, why they put the bill on our table (without us asking for it), after we JUST finished our pizza and didn't even order a dessert, coffee or whatever. I know they do this sometimes at touristic places (still rude) but what is your reason and please don't find the easiest way out and use the covid excuse. Covid is not responsible for everything and especially not for a bad attitude :) at least gave us the opportunity to drink a coffee, or eat a small dessert, we would have even hurried up. But no, we had to go, cause apparently new people came and we were not welcome anymore. Maybe it wasn't the manager her day, this can happen, but still I think she could have handled the situation a little bit better. I would honestly say if we are bad customers, all 8 of us were trying to be as respectful as possible, even though the manager didn't even try. I guess the manager follows the rules of the owner/owners of the restaurant, but dear owner/owners, we are the people who are bringing in the money and you sadly enough lost 8 customers, that would have bring in even more people, I gave the 3 stars, cause of the food that was ok; the ambience and because of the two Nice waiters that helped us. We had still a nice evening, but Thanks to the place, where we...

Without a doubt this is the best place for pizzas in the Raval. Thin dough, balanced ratio of toppings and fresh ingredients. And just like in Italy the pizza doesn't have too much cheese on it, so it's easy to finish your whole pizza and not feel too sludgy afterwards. That being said, if you mega cheesy is your thing, you can ask them to add more cheese or change some ingredients and they are pretty flexible.

The place in itself serves up some Bushwick vibes and and has different areas, upfront and upstairs it is more intimate and cosy feeling and downstairs in the back is wide open and spacious (COVID-19 friendly). Last time we went was with my four year old nephew, and unlike so many places here, they were pretty relaxed about having him and two other kids roaming around and playing in a little patio they have with plants in the back.

Non pizza items on the menu are also worthwhile. The fries are crispy and the portion is generous. Their steak tartare is super fresh and well seasoned, so was the burrata.

If you are both GF and Vegetarian/vegan, your options are limited.

The service was friendly and meant well, but the restaurant seemed understaffed and our waiter was spread too thin. This is not the waiter's fault and this is why they get 4 stars...

🍽️ If you are looking for a real thing crust Italian 🍕 probably this is your place. They use wood fired oven, which give an excellent aroma and taste. I've tried their #Parmigiana, includes eggplant, ricotta, basil, cherry tomatoes, Grana Padano (it's a hard, slow-ripened, semi-fat, cow's-milk cheese from Italy). Their handmade dough was fresh and so the ingredients were are. Their hand made fried potato was nice too. . 🗣️ To enter the restaurant we had to wait and took time to approach us, as it was busy, but the rest of the service was fast and the food got ready quite fast. . 💶 Check the last slides for the menu

Never knew about this place until a friend of mine told me to have dinner. Seems small from the street, but is getting bigger and bigger as soon as you enter. I loved the place, interesting decoration and very kind staff. I was told the pizzas were excellent and now I can say they are pretty awesome. I had the Cotto Funghi pizza and every single ingredient was very tasty and natural. I want to visit Barcelona again to go there. I'm going to recommend anybody to eat here.
