Garage Beer Co | Eixample — Restaurant in Barcelona

I went to this bar during the afternoon with a mate and my 4 month old baby. I asked the barman if I could have a little bit of water for my baby. He gave me a glass of tap water and I asked if it could be bottled water as it was for the baby. He gave me a small bottle of water and said 1.20e. I said no, no I just want literally a spoonful of water so I poured a little into the glass and went back to the table. He came 5 minutes later with the bottle, me thinking that he' d changed his mind and I received the bottle with thanks. 15 mins later we left and the barman chased me out the door and demanded the 1,20e. I asked for a bit of compassion..he said "it's not my bar, if it was my bar I wouldn't charge you for it! ". Cretin. I refused to pay but my mate did in the end just to get out of there. You might say why bring a baby into a beer bar,?? but there were actually a couple of young families with a baby and toddlers there...

Update: This place gets better and better, I don’t go as often because I don’t live in Barcelona but I make sure every time I am in the city this is one of my first stops! Dan specifically has been great, made everyone feel like a local, from conversations about beer knowledge or just mall talk. Thanks for the good treatment

I had been looking for a good Craft beer spot in Barcelona for a while and I have finally found them! Their own draft beers are amazing and they do many Collaborations with other local and foreign breweries. I was just having a few beers and a bite so I ordered their Garage Potatoes and they were amazing!! They had collaborations with some of my favorite breweries from US like Other Half, Tripping Animals, Parish and many more. The service was amazing, friendly and helpful staff. This is now my go to place...

I’ve traveled all over Europe and the UK (London, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Amsterdam, Berlin, Paris) and Garage Brewing is by far the best beer I’ve experienced while traveling to the European/UK region. Also, I believe that if Garage beer was available in the USA, it would be considered at of the top of all craft brews. This is not an exaggeration, most regions in Europe simply don’t understand IPA and even lager craft brewing and many US brewers are just following a beer template. Garage kills it on numerous levels.

In addition, Augustine, Martine, Victor and another dude keep the place running from 5PM to close at the beach location. They curate awesome music, food and beer for everyone that shows up. Can’t...
