I've seen some reviewers concerned about the possibility of there being false reviews for this restaurant. Let this be a personal account putting those concerns at bay.
The service did insist on leaving a review, but only after payment. And anyways, this is a strategy that I've seen many restaurants do, if the clients then rate it five stars it is purely because of their lack of judgement, or their inability to compare with other services, and their biases with past events that make them look at the happenings fondly.
Don't get me wrong, this restaurant wasn't marvellous, the food was nice, the service and ambient were average. Not too crowded or noisy, with plenty of light from the exterior, comfortable chairs, with AC and heating. The waiters came and made adaptations according to our petitions (they added one more serving to share to a plate that usually has 2, and they let us stay long after we had finished and most other clients had left without asking us to hurry).
The local has some space to walk and the chairs have some wiggle room to be moved forward and back. There are about 12 tables for groups of 3. The decorations are a mixbag, with some abstract and some stock illustrations. Not the romantic ambience type. Since it has no steps, anyone should be able to enter and leave regardless of disability, but finding parking nearby may be complicated.
I do think some of the dishes are overpriced, like the said 2 Samosas for +5€ seems a bit expensive to me. Nevertheless, the food was quite tasty, specially recommend the recipes with coconut!
That's all, I personally recommend it, but I wouldn't make it a...

Read moreAnother gem of an Indian restaurant in Barcelona! A five-minute taxi ride or a 15/20 minute walk from Sants station, this place is the bees knees! Great variety of vegetarian dishes, generous portions and fabulous flavours! I’ve been to quite a number of the Indian restaurants in Barcelona now and somehow Hungry Eyes sets itself apart. It could be the details such as the (clearly homemade) spicy tomato chutney and the Indian mouth freshening mix of fennel and tiny sugar pieces available at the counter. It could be the the rays of sunlight beaming through the open one-room space and the professional yet informal vibe of the place or the non-intrusive yet attentive presence of the staff. It could even be the fact that the (not too small like other places) naan was cooked to perfection and smelled and tasted divine! Whatever it was, it’s now going to be my go to restaurant when I’m in Sants ans want my fix of Indian food! 6 stars from me!...
