La Campechana — Restaurant in Barcelona

Very tasty food and a great atmosphere. Service was very friendly although they were super busy, so not the most attentive. Will definitely be back for the birria tacos!

Edit: Have since been back twice, and was very disappointed after such a great first experience. Service is poor even for Spain, the last 2 times we were left sitting at the table for 15 mins and had to request menus and ask to order drinks. Given how small the inside area is, this meant several times the wait staff passed our table and ignored us. And there were only about 5 other tables occupied. The food was worse each time ive been back. Smaller portions and more expensive than when they opened. The veggie tacos were unbelievably bad. Basically frozen vegetables in a taco... An embarrassment to mexican cuisine. Wont be going back again and wouldn't recommend. Such a shame, because as you can see from my original review, they can...

I absolutely loved my experience at La Campechana in Barcelona! The welcome was warm and friendly, and the food was simply extraordinary, full of authentic flavors. We tried the tacos and the chilaquiles, and everything was completely delicious. The portions were generous, the prices very reasonable, and the drinks were excellent. I had a margarita that was perfectly balanced, and the staff even offered to make a non-alcoholic version for my son so he could have a “matching drink.” That thoughtful gesture made the experience even more special.

The place itself is beautiful, with both a cozy indoor dining area and a lovely terrace. Highly recommend. We ordered the menu and wow, the food was amazing. Very nice portions & but most of all the taste & quality of the food were great. We ordered the Cesar salad & Totopes with avocado, green enchiladas chicken (Green meaning not spicy) & the vegetarian tacos. The fruit water, mango, was very tasty & fresh. The sauses & onion on the side were great. The peanut chili sause was so good. Staff was super friendly & attendant. One big plus, our little dog Laika was welcomed inside. 🥰 We are definitely going back to taste more from the menu.
