Was the food actually bad tasting? No. Was it terribly expensive? No. Was the service terrible? No. Why one star? Because there are so many quality options in Barcelona to eat at for the same price and they actually have taste. If you’re one of those people who actually go to places like McDonald’s or any other of those franchises that serve you flavorless trash labeled as food, the. By all means, come here and waste your money.

All one needs to know about this place is that 1. There are no Italians working there. And 2. They have Ben & Jerry’s ice cream for desert. In a restaurant that sells “Italian” food.

Just to give perspective, the €7.5 euro whole pizza that the Pakistani guys sell around the corner from where I was staying is better than this.

To be fair those Pakistanis managed to make an ok pizza, but come on. Unless you have a particularly passionate chef, don’t go searching for curry at a Mexican restaurant, just as you wouldn’t go to this Italian food place run by...

These guys also operate under the name "Las empanadas de Diego" and I've never had worse food in my life.

The dough is obviously store-bought and fairly decent, but the fillings of their empanadas are worse than what you can find on the floor of a fast food chain just before closing time.

In case anyone thinks I'm exaggerating, I've taken photos and if they contact me within a day I will happily come by the "restaurant" with the "food" they delivered to prove I'm not making this up. I would love to see one of their "chefs" taste this in public.

There are things in the fillings I still can't identify (the worst one looks like a garlic clove, crumbles like old cheese, and doesn't taste or smell of anything... see attached photo).
