La Tagliatella | Barceloneta — Restaurant in Barcelona

First I want to say that this is the first google review I have come on here to make that is a one star. WAY overpriced food and not worth it. This place is a tourist trap! I’ve had good food in barcelona for less than what they charge here, and the food does not compare at all. I got some pasta bolognese and my pasta was undercooked, the sauce was not good and had a bad smell to it. I ate what I could but did not finish my plate, not even close. I told the waiter that I did not like my food but I didn’t want anything else because I lost my appetite. The manager proceeded to come over to my table to make a scene, started yelling that “everyone loves the pasta, the problem is not the pasta it’s you.” and I didn’t even get to speak because he continuously cut me off. After I refused to speak to him, I tried to pay for the food and my drinks because I don’t care if the food is bad, I still ordered it. However, they refused to let me pay and also offered some more choice words for me. I do not recommend this...

This is the worst Tagliatelle I have been to in Spain! The glasses were super dirty that we asked that they clean them. They bring the glass of wine and they don’t serve it to you in table so you would not know what they served you! We ordered the Pan Tagliatelle as appetizers and one pizza and one salad. They bring it all together. The lettuce in my salad was black and not fresh! All my plate was not fresh, the shrimp was already cooked. When I went to speak to the manager, he didn’t listen and he started treating us of names. We were asked to leave, so we left... as for us this is the worst service I had in my life... and trust me I have been to places in my life! Don’t go there it is not worth your money and the service is disgusting! I will make a complain to the Tagliatelle...

Classy atmosphere. Authentic Italian food. Flavors were fantastic! The pesto especially was superb!! They have lots of pastas to choose from: even stuffed pastas. They all looked fantastic. The wine is also SUPER cheap and delicious. Their portions are absolutely generous! We couldn't even finish our portions.

However, the staff and service was not up to par at least the evening we were there. They just do their job, not personable or interesting in helping you. If you have a question, you felt like a bother rather than a customer. Especially if you speak limited Spanish.

Great food! Just focus on that,...
