La Tagliatella | Diagonal — Restaurant in Barcelona

I have visited many branches of this chain and loved them but the service and quality at this particular branch were not up to scratch. The waiter who greeted me was lovely but the waitress attending my table was atrocious. There was sufficient space between my table and the next (empty) one but she banged info mine each time she passed. When my food was 'ready' she dumped it on the table with no words or even eye contact. It's a miracle she managed to find the table to be honest as she wasn't looking at all! The food was not at all ready. The mushrooms in the sauce were cold and the pasta far too chewy to be classed as cooked. I ate what I could stomach and picked up dessert from a fast food joint a few metres away. Sadly one of the more expensive meals I've had in Barcelona, particularly for a plate of pasta and a soft drink, and by far the worse. We went to the place to celebrate the birthday of my friend on the 1st December in the evening. The food and sangria were very delicious! The ambience is amazing. We would give 5 star to this place if not the lady who looked as pushing us out. Maybe it's common to let people know that they have to go because of line of people waiting for the table. But honestly to me it looks completely unproffessional to stress out your guests because you get stressed yourself. Especially if we still had full glasses of sangria. All male waiters serving us treated us really good and made some jokes that we really appreciated, but probably not all staff knows what is considered acceptable. The meal was ok. But the people, who work here are very unfriendly. They don't ask you if you want more. You can't sit were you want. It is a bit dirty outside on the balkony. If you habe a bad day make the best of it when you are working with people. Or say sry i have a bad day. All this is ok. But if i don't to the people they don't unverstand me. It seems that the people are don't work togther. Last year i was here and everything was very perfect. But today i am sad about it. The salad looks nice and taste good. But the rest was bad today.
