The Scottish man was so incredibly unwelcoming. I came alone for an evening dinner. He treated me like they were doing me a favour by feeding me. I have never experienced someone so rude in food service. Weird because he was quite attentive and caring to the other tables with groups and couples. But not my table as a solo female. He seemed annoyed from when I kindly asked if I could sit at a quieter table in the back. The brunette waitress though was so lovely. The food was bang average and I don’t see what’s so Peruvian about it. My dishes also came out very poorly timed. At one point I was eating potatoes by themselves. It should come with the fish and ceviche so I can enjoy it as a full meal. If it were not for the awful Scottish man I would be willing to come and try something else on the menu. On reading his replies to negative reviews here… his hostile manner shines bright. Wish I had seen them before booking. I will sit and wait for my sassy reply from the owner.

During our stay at Hotel Universal Barcelona, we decided to try a nearby restaurant, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions of our trip. Just a five-minute walk from the hotel, this place exceeded our expectations in every way. The food was exceptional, with the octopus, oysters, and anchovies standing out as some of the best dishes we had during our entire visit to Barcelona. Every bite was a treat, and the quality of the ingredients was evident. The service was equally impressive. The staff were incredibly warm and passionate about what they were serving, making the experience feel personal and special. What really sealed the deal for us was the number of locals dining there. It's always a good sign when the locals choose to eat at a place, and we immediately felt welcomed and part of the atmosphere. Overall, this was more than just a meal—it was an unforgettable dining experience, one of the highlights of our time in Barcelona. Highly recommend!

Very authentic peruvian place with amazing food. Green ceviche is something that I would repeat a million times! Fresh, beautifully presented and full of flavor. And maracuya sour pisco cocktail was absolutely delicious! I totally recommend this place for a cozy dinner date. Their interior and atmosphere are very nice! The only issue was the service, because we got wrong items served as a part of the order (they changed them later) and we waited for patatas bravas and main dishes for a looooong time. Also noticed the cook and waitress arguing at the stand at some point (they have open bar and you see the staff). And other waiter broke a glass serving the table besides us.. So overall impression was mixed as everyone was in a rush, running and trying to catch up with things. But their food is certainly something that I wanna come back for.

Every dish was excellent and the owner is super passionate about the food and the drinks! I normally don't have more than 1 drink a month and can't stand the taste of most alcohols, but the cocktails here were absolutely divine. I recommend the pornstar martini, and for coffee lovers, my girlfriend recommends the pisco expresso (don't remember if that's the right name) or just their cortado. While their ceviches are all lovely, my favorites were the Japanese style new world one and the green classic. My girlfriend favored the spice of the red classic as well. But, honestly, it was their mains that were probably my girlfriend's favorite part of the meal. The tuna tartar, duck and pulpo (octopus) will blow you away! The owner explained how they cook the octopus and it is a long process, which results in a very caramelized flavor. Duck is glorious and I couldn't get enough of the tuna tartar! We also had the scallops and favored the parmesan over the cheddar one, though both are definitely worth a try! Unfortunately, we couldn't get around to the salads, but they sounded delicious. Finally, dessert: I made us get all three for one meal, we were stuffed. The brownie was so good and the caramel mousse on top was so light and flavorful. I normally hate mousse, but I ordered this twice! The passion fruit cheesecake was my least favorite, but I'm not a big cheesecake fan to begin with, if you are give it a try. The sauce on the side is quite interesting, sweet but spicy. The lemon pie (more deconstructed) was my girlfriend's favorite, it was served in a cute little jar too. We had 3 meals here in the span of one week, I can't tell you how much I'll miss it, now that I won't be back in Barcelona for some years. Lascar 74...
