I recently had the pleasure of dining at Machina Pasta Bar, and it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The rustic decor and soft lighting set the perfect tone for an unforgettable meal.

Best Pasta in Spain, possibly in all of southern Europe, yes I know it includes Italy! It's simply that good.. The key to success is two factors, fresh pasta & and simple recipes. Nothing super fancy here, just good quality pasta dishes that tastes great. We were originally traveling between Barcelona, Seville and Granada in search of Spanish restaurants to discover, many disappointed, some good, none would qualify as great though.

Macchina Pasta Bar was the surprise of the trip. Located near the port end of the tourist district of Barcelona. It is in one of the most touristic cities of the world, however, it is in a small place/square that most tourists will bypass.

I came here Dec 20 for lunch and got very sick afterwards. I ordered the carbonara which tasted ok. Just some basic cream sauce and bacon so the person that reviewed this place as “best Italian ever” clearly doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Anyway, within hours of eating, I became very ill with all symptoms of food poisoning. Ended up going to the emergency room the next day. I’ve read a few reviews where people also got sick after the carbonara and the tiramisu. I also had the dessert but I shared with two other people and they were fine so it was definitely the pasta.
