Manolo Bakes — Restaurant in Barcelona

I visited this store a few weeks ago and I absolutely loved it!

Its interior design is modern yet unbelievably cozy, which makes you wanna spend hours just sitting there. Everything was very clean and well organised and the workers there were quick to prepare tables for the next guests. In terms of food: yes, it might be limited in quantity but I'm certain it is freshly made by hand each day (I can definitely recommend the iconic small "Manolitos" croissants). Manolo Bakes' wide selection of drinks also left me impressed, with many sustainable and fair trade options to choose from (I opted for a hot chocolate, which was so delicious). The male barista who served me was lovely and greeted me with a big smile. He seemed like he genuinely enjoys working there and took his time to answer all my questions in perfect English. Additionally, he helped me pick what to order when I was still clueless and his suggestions turned out great! The same thing goes for the rest of the team. Everyone is incredibly friendly and ambitious to make your stay worth it, because they really care about their customers.

Overall it was a wonderful experience and next time I'm in Barcelona I'll without a doubt come back to this...

Since moving to Barcelona, Manolo has been my go-to spot to chill and work (yep, FREE WiFi !!). I’ve checked out all their locations, but Carrer de Berlín is hands-down the best. Joan and Mari are such a vibe! They welcome everyone with big smiles, their energy is infectious, and they somehow make everyone feel like part of the Manolo crew. It’s not just a cafe, it’s a little community. Oh, and pro tip: Joan makes the best cortado in Barcelona – nothing else comes close! Very friendly & energetic staff, delicious pastries and great coffee. Very good milkshakes also. Great breakfast spot or if you’re just craving something sweet during the day. They even have Spanish McMuffins. This is a Spanish Starbucks with over 50 locations across Spain but the coffee and especially pastries are 10 times better! Starbucks pastries are inedible!
