Massamara Diputació — Restaurant in Barcelona

Main review: A cosy, everyday bakery and coffee shop where you can eat for 12 euros for 2 people. It's normally quiet and there's always seating available. They serve coffee and sandwiches as well as light menus of pasta, salads, and other universal dishes. Staff is friendly but there's no table service - you order at the counter and need to bring your own stuff to the table. This is pretty much the only down side to it, as well as the air con which sometimes is rather strong. They also have a special sandwiches and salads menu. You can have a big, fresh sandwich of salmon tomato and lettuce for 4.5 euro and a small menu of salad bowl plus a drink and coffee for 6 euro. The food is normally nice and fresh. The place doesn't have any bad smells, also not normally noisy. Ideal for a light meal or a snack of coffee and sandwiches or pastries, to read a book or work on your laptop. Walking by and stopped for a pastry that caught my eye, and it did not disappoint. Clean, modern place with free Wi-Fi (and air conditioning, which is pretty rare in Spain). Definitely new establishment though; service was fumbling a good bit (order at the counter, limited if any table service). If you're visiting Barcelona and you're in this area this place is well worth the visit. I had the chocolate croissant, the white chocolate croissant (must have), and the Enpanadilla (the cheese and spinach one was great).
