Had a very strange experience here. I came given the high reviews. As soon as I walked in, it felt awkward. Lots of people were crowding the entrance and the single employee working there ignored everyone for a good 5 minutes. I couldn’t tell who was waiting to order vs. who had already done so. We were all just standing there….

Totally understand if you’re busy and/or distracted, but a simple hello or even a smile costs nothing to make people feel comfortable and to cut some of the tension.

Soon enough, I ordered as well and took a seat to wait for my drink. 20 minutes passed and I noticed everyone who had ordered after me was getting their drinks. I didn’t mind waiting since there were few people working, but something felt off when I noticed others were already being served. Walked up to check on the drink, a second employee had appeared but again noticed the employees just blatantly ignoring me and averting eye contact, with one employee brusquely turning around and walking to a back room when I tried to get their attention.

When I was finally able to get someone’s attention, I asked about my drink and the employee said they didn’t write it down. I guess the process is when someone orders on the tablet, they write the order down on a piece of paper and then prepare drinks based off that list. They did prioritize making my drink after that (found it a little uncomfortable that while one of baristas was making my drink the other one was just standing there staring at me). Coffee is whatever, possibly 3 stars. What really upset my family was how RUDE AND HOW MUCH ATTITUDE THE STAFF HAD. Extremely unfriendly, unapproachable, so much SERIOUSNESS. All of the outdoor tables were occupied, but chairs were available, and a really nice couple offered their chairs to us because they saw my father with his walking cane, struggling to walk. So I moved the chairs away from the couple on the opposite side to give them space while I wait for the staff to make my coffee. This extremely rude staff member saw my parents sitting on the chairs today… and gives SO MUCH ATTITUDE and almost yells/lectures in a super unfriendly way… “you cannot do that. (Rolls eyes. Blinks eyes with a lot Of attitude.) we can get fined for that!” And quickly turns around and walks away without even letting me apologize. OK DUDE, how would we know? We’re not from here. Be more open minded and courteous to your customers. let us know politely. Goodness gracious.
