In summary, the tapas were hit and miss. Some were good, some were bad. The restaurant looks well and is nicely located. The service was so bad that it eventually became entertaining. It’s expensive and very busy. And the beer, that’s a whole horror story in itself!

We dropped back to the hotel to wash our hands and then we went back out to the Tapa Tapa restaurant on the corner for lunch. It was like Faulty Towers watching the staff who were in chaos from the very beginning. After taking our order for drinks and olives our waitress then forgot about us for ages. Eventually a waiter came over and asked us had we made up our minds yet. When I pointed out to him that we were sitting at a completely bare table with no menus it was unlikely that we knew what we wanted he just looked confused. Our initial waitress spotted what was going on and shuffled him away as I was asking him if he would he mind bringing us our drinks, cutlery, etc. Initially, I was starting to get a bit annoyed when the staff were still taking ages to bring anything and then this happened ... the waitress tried to give me my drink AFTER they had mistakenly given it to someone else and then topped it up again before giving it to me. When I pointed out that I had seen this happening (strongly) and considered just leaving they apologized, replaced the beer and then got on with things. I was never really sure if it was replaced or just sat under the bar until I was distracted by the next calamity. They just went from bad to worse tripping over themselves with every step. This culminated when they eventually brought everything we had ordered from the start ... twice! It became really funny and in the end I still gave the waitress a tip as they were running around like headless chickens giving out to each other all the way and her face was gone so red and flustered. She was arguing with the other waiting staff and the manager was arguing with everyone. I know this level of incompetence starts at the top and I probably shouldn’t have stayed good natured or given a tip but we are on holidays, were in a good mood and weren’t in a hurry. In fairness, she tried to give me my tip back with an apology and didn’t charge me for the second hand beer or the olives that were still on our neighbours table. I think the manager could have done a lot more and should at least have given my son a free ice cream by way of apology. In fact he didn’t apologize at all. We won’t be going back to Tapa Tapa...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at a fantastic tapas restaurant, and I can't wait to share my experience! From the moment I walked in, the vibrant atmosphere set the tone for a delightful evening. The décor was a charming mix of rustic and modern, with warm lighting that created an inviting ambiance.
The menu was extensive, featuring a wide array of traditional and contemporary tapas. We started with some classic patatas bravas, which were perfectly crispy and paired with a spicy aioli that added just the right amount of kick. The jamón ibérico was another highlight, melting in my mouth and showcasing the quality of the ingredients. Each dish was beautifully presented, making the dining experience even more enjoyable.
Our server, Jean Pierre, truly made the evening memorable. He was attentive without being intrusive, offering insightful recommendations and sharing his passion for the food. His knowledge of the menu was impressive, and he took the time to explain the origin of some dishes, which added a personal touch to our meal. Throughout the night, he checked in on us just the right amount, ensuring we had everything we needed while also allowing us to enjoy our conversation.
As we moved on to the main courses, we tried the grilled octopus and the chorizo al vino, both of which were bursting with flavor. Jean Pierre's suggestion of a particular wine pairing elevated the meal even further, enhancing the overall experience. The service was impeccable, and it was clear that Jean Pierre genuinely cared about our dining experience.
In conclusion, if you're looking for a tapas restaurant that offers delicious food, a warm atmosphere, and exceptional service, I highly recommend this place. Thanks to Jean Pierre, our night was not just a meal but a delightful culinary journey. I can't wait to return and explore more...
Read moreThe place was pleasant, the other waiters were pleasant and polite, except for a waitress who was super rude, stupid and had no respect for the customer, a woman who had piercings on her face, her hair was shaved at the back, and her top was tied up, I don't know her name, but she is the only one with this characteristic, at first she seemed to be a super nice person, but the terrible customer treatment was what ruined everything!
We arrived and asked a young waiter if we could sit, and he said we could choose a table to sit at, so we chose a table that would be perfect for us, as we were expecting a mother with a baby, the table had no menus, and we really understood. After all, we chose the only table that didn't have a menu, as it was an adaptable table for children.
Then this female waitress arrived to take orders, and I politely asked for the menus, as we had just arrived, and she came out stressed complaining in Spanish that we chose the only table without a menu, although that wouldn't be a problem and we weren't complaining about nothing, after all, the place and the other waiters were super nice, and she came with all this stupidity and ruined the place, what was supposed to be an excellent experience for us, became terrible because of this rude woman (waitress ), we simply paid for the two drinks and left, we had to change our meeting place to another restaurant where we were treated well and mainly treated with respect.
Regarding the other waiters, I have nothing to complain about, they were excellent, but this rotten orange woman just ruins it and drives people away from this place!
Maybe she likes making people feel bad! Bad experience,...
