English speaker friendly. Delicious food. Great service. I’m assuming that the restaurant is owned by a wife and a husband because we got there a bit early and the lady at the counter said she can call her husband from their house to bring the pasta noodles. After she took her time to explain the entire menu to us in English we decided to do the cotto and the pappardelle pasta. The sweet blonde lady makes you feel like you’re a guest in her home and really made our day so much brighter. Prices are close estimates and may change. But these were what we paid.
Cotto: €5 light and crispy, thin fried bread on the outside. The filling inside was a good balance of flavors with ham, tomatoes, and mozzarella cheese. Was delicious. 🤤
Pappardelle pasta: €13 cooked al dente, reminds me of homemade pasta that my mom used to make for me when I was a kid. The sauce and vegetables were really yummy with a bit of pork here and there. After eating this we felt warm like a good meal from home.
Pistachios dessert: was yummy and not too sweet. It’s crumbly and a great way to finish a meal. Don’t forget to eat it with café! ☕️
Ambience: chill and lots of cool Italian memorabilia. The place is small but there are plenty of seats inside.
Definitely try this place out. The price alone makes its worth it. Thank you again for calling your husband to bring the pasta in and thank you to the husband for coming so quickly. We really enjoyed the food and...
Read moreStopping by Mr. Focaccia was easily the culinary highlight of our trip to Barcelona. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was authentic and welcoming, and the focaccia was simply beyond compare. This isn't just a snack; it's an experience. We indulged in a trio of their incredible offerings: the Vegetable Cheese, which was rich and perfectly balanced; the classic, vibrant Tomato Onion; and the surprisingly hearty and savory Eggplant Parmesan. Every piece had that perfect, airy-yet-crisp texture that only true artisanal focaccia can achieve. What truly elevated the entire visit was the incredible hospitality and the owner—an amazing guy! He was clearly so confident in his food that he insisted we try his secret weapon: the house-made spicy olive oil. This generous gesture wasn't just thoughtful; it was a proud statement about the quality of his ingredients. The oil, infused with red chilies, added a stunning warmth and depth that beautifully complemented every focaccia bite, proving his pride in his craft. If you are anywhere near Barcelona, you must seek out Mr. Focaccia. It’s a five-star stop for quality, flavor, and truly wonderful, generous hospitality. We can't wait to return!
Bonus was house amazing the owner was. Gave us entire bottle of oil and was super confident in his work....
Read moreEver since we came back from our trip to Barcelona, we've been missing this place, so much so that I even tried baking my own focaccia at home. Even filtered through generous self-confidence, I have to admit: Mr. Focaccia here makes a version that's easily 30 times better than mine.
We had a lovely time - tasty focaccia, great chill atmosphere, kind and welcoming staff. Everything was well made, well seasoned, fresh, and the prices were more than reasonable for the quality. It’s the kind of place that makes you wish the owner would open another one near where you live.
Highly recommended, whether you're here to enjoy, or to be gently humbled by...
