No vegan options and rude, defensive owner.

No vegan options (there was just cookie available. There were no empanadas). 'We are a bakery, and I own the place was the response'. Fem un brunch and Trigo pan i postre nearby seem to offer vegan options, are self-owned small seemingly profitable businesses, and are also bakeries (can you imagine that?!). Very old school response, and options at the old school bakery (the place, customer service and options reminded me of places in the 90s!). Please see the immature and defensive response of the owner below - quite shocking really. It says more about him than the customers I think...

I stopped in on my second yet final evening in Barcelona, having skipped lunch due to an upset stomach, and the empenadas at this little bakery were precisely what I needed. The crust was tasty, but not heavy. The filling was sublime. I also got a slice of carrot cake to take back to the hotel, but I could not resist it upon arrival. It was a fantastic slice of carrot cake.

The music gave a nice vibe, and staff were quite friendly and spoke English well. I only wish I were staying longer so that I...

The staff are great aside from the food being super tasty! I had to get a bit from my toasty (bikini) before taking the pic cause it was looking marvellous 😍 the place is also dog friendly which makes my life way easier when walking with my dog 🐶 and craving for some good meal. Super recommended. 5 stars.
