My previous review was deleted after I got the owner mad when i refered to the fact he calls his restaurant halal, but serves alcohol - which is, according to him, normal, because its Europe.. Thats why I will choose my words more carefully, cause according to google's understanding, I cannot object to 'alcohol being halal in Europe'..

Pls avoid this restaurant if you want to eat halal, they serve alcohol.

The interior is nice and not really overcrowded. I wasnt able to taste the food bc they serve alcohol, so cannot comment on that.

Edit: Dear Owner, I live abroad and was in Barcelona for business. To be able to eat halal, I traveled some distance to your place. I entered, gave a salaam and after seeing the bar, I asked whether alcohol was served or not, after hearing it was served, i left the place and found a pakistani restaurant that doesnt serve alcohol. I dont know who you are talking about, but your story once more confirms that the name you use is misleading..

I am in no place to judge you, you can sell whatever you want. I traveled miles to come and eat at your place, since the reviews are high etc, if I knew you served alcohol, I wouldnt. And with my review, I just want to share my experience with others why might getting mislead by the name of your business.

And before your complain at google and this gets deleted again - imagine you name your restaurant 'Restaurant Arab Vegan Marrakech', but sell meat, what a abomination...

Summary: Extremely overpriced for pathetic food quality and bad service. Add on that some scare tactics when some of us left a review (continue reading for more).

Food: 27.5 eur menu of the day was the only thing that we could order, at 8 pm. It was just horrible and small portions. I ordered taktouka which wasnt great, and a lemon chicken that gave me depression. It was completely dry and tasteless, with some soggy fries thrown on top of it.

Service: Extremely bad. Would never go there again. They try to make money out of every small thing, even when the menu is already overpriced. And at the end they asked us to pay in cash (probably to avoid declaring and taxes, let's see what the tax authorities think about that), we said we didnt have, then they asked for one of us to pay everything by card, and the rest do transfers for the one who paid. Only when we insisted, they agreed to do multiple card transactions for each.

But the absolutely worst unacceptable thing about it is they cannot accept a review. The restaurant sent one of us angry voice messages the next day talking because 2 of us left a bad review. And replying to the honest reviews that we they are false and we didn't even eat in the restaurant. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Shame on you. Before you say we didnt eat there, here is a...

A party of 8 of us had walked in as we were touring Barcelona that day. We sat down for 20 mins after which the waiter came and took our order. As we were ordering we made it clear we are only going to be ordering mains as we still had the whole day ahead of us, so didny want to spend too much time there. The waiter took our mains order then proceeded to ask if we wanted salad along side our mains. The way the waiter spoke it was as if the salad is included with the mains. Half of us said no whilst the other half said yes. All 8 of us were all presented with salads which none of us ate it as it wasn't nice, with raw onions. Food was substandard. It took ages for the food to come out. We did notice they were giving food out to people who had ordered a lot later than us. Which was disappointing. In the end they had charged us 4 euros per salad as a starter even though we made it clear that we didn't want a starter, also half of us didn't even order it . 32 euro for salad which we didnt even order was frustrating. We felt as if we were mugged just because we were tourists and we didnt speak the language. Wouldn't ever...

I am kind of agree with the recent reviews that this restaurant is not serving up to the level which was shared by the earlier visitors. They are heavily understaffed in the kitchen, and the floor servers are not capable of managing the place. Ownership is definitely failing to manage the place. Tip for the first timers, " If restaurant is not busy, go there and eat. They will serve you, but if it's crowded, leave it. " About the food Unfortunately, it's not wow at all. Beef skewers were overcooked, and tajeni was served without any bread of rice. We had to wait an extra 5 min and then ask for bread ourselves ( even we mentioned the server to have bread with it). The rest of the food came with French fries, which were good for kids but super soggy. I don't know if it was Marrocan style or a poorly executed fusion. Beef skewers were dry and very rubbery. My advice to the owners is to focus on the kitchen and maybe have that angry young girl in the kitchen making bread and keep serving people who are waiting for their food. Fill their tummies atleast so the rest of the kitchen can cook with peace of mind.

The place is a real disappointment, don’t let the rating full u. They just ask u to review even before paying and it intimidates people usually. The food is okaay but very overpriced, the desert was a real joke for me. Its not acceptable to pay a 27,5 euro and get a desert with an industrial cake that I know costs 50 cents, add cream on top and serve it to people in a 27.5 euro menu. Add to this the service is very bed, u don’t feel welcomed. They refused to take orders from the card so u have only the special menu options even if u want a different plate u necessarily have to take the menu then add and pay for the things u really want to eat separately. This restaurant doesn’t at all represents the moroccan hospitality, will definitely not come back
